Prozac takes a long time, but for me it also seems effective. Hope you experience relief soon :)

David how long did you have to wait to see results. Iāve read at a minimum 10-12 weeks

@davidshq Yeah that would be the 12 week mark. I wonder why it takes so long with OCD.

@jfount11117 I think it may be pretty long for other disorders as well when treated with Prozac, has something to do with building up in the blood I think? In my personal experience depression level dosage didn't touch my ocd....I've been on 60 mg for 17 yrs or so

@jfount11117 Yes, it does a good job. I'd say 80% reduction in symptoms.

Hey. I hope it works soon for you. How long have you been on it? I tried it but side effects were too much. I am extremely sensitive to meds so not everyone is the same. Iām now on Effexor for the last 3 weeks. How long are you taking it? You should see improvements within 4-6 weeks. I stuck it out for 8 weeks but wasnāt for me.

iāve been on it for about four weeks now! finally starting to feel a little bit better! the first couple weeks were horrible tho.
