I would say get into counseling for sure. Especially since you're already on medication management. They say the best treatment for OCD is ERP and CBT then combined with meds it can be extremely helpful. What you're doing is definitely a compulsion. Think of it this way, you're arguing with a bully. Even if you are right, even if you have the facts - that bully is going to keep coming back stronger at you and change it's tactics to stop you. It'll say, okay yeah - but WHAT IF ..... Insert another scenario. Arguing with it is just reinforcing the thoughts. You've got to let them come in, label it as an intrusive thought and sit with the anxiety and clear your mind. Do not spiral, just sit and hold the anxiety. Anxiety will pass then move on. After that, stop ruminating. (This is hard for me) I've lived with OCD for so long off and on I almost keep it alive myself by rumination. Wondering if it's going to be a bad thought day etc. We've got to learn to let go too. I'm still working on this part but don't worry there is hope and there is healing.

Got the same. But I know its ocd and it will be better. Do you use meds?
