@milkyshake Thoughts can reflect reality so like if you think you have breast cancer and then don't act on it because "it's just a thought" and then you die from neglected breast cancer.

@milkyshake We don't live in qn imaginary world where you can just ignore all worry. I mean I guess if other people take care of you you can? But then you're just shifting responsibility

@compulsion5000 You said thoughts can reflect reality -yes but not always. I'm not actually saying ignore all the worry. My point is ignore the intrusive thoughts. What if you worry different thoughts every minute? So you will have to problem solve each and every one of it 24/7? If my thought said that I have a breast cancer and I somehow feel something wrong with my body then I'll go see a doctor. But if my thought said that what if you have breast cancer and the next morning that thought dissappears but the day after tomorrow that comes back again but I don't feel any discomfort in my breast at all. So why worry? Thats the problem. Worrying too much became a habit.

@compulsion5000 As I can see it in your replies you agree on all of your worries. And you said 'not true' on my post. Its like you are validating ALL your worries. But yet your are here in this app. So it means you knew deep inside that there's something wrong with way of your thinking.

@milkyshake No not all my worries. You said just agree with whatever the worry is and it will go away. That isn't true for all my worries.

@compulsion5000 Nope. Thats why I have tags I'm actually pertaining on my tags but especially the real event ocd. Real events consists of past mistakes. Sufferers tend to feel the guilt and shame over and over again even that event happened 20 yrs ago and they are already learned from if and repent on it. Sufferers forgot that people change, we grew up and our mindset also changes every year or maybe everyday. They keep asking for reassurance if they are a good person or not. I made this post for them hoping to ease their sufferings even just for a little.

@compulsion5000 Always agree with it like... Thoughts: you are not showing your true colors! You were never a good person. Remember what happened 20 yrs ago? That is the real you!" Human: Oh really? Okay, thats great! Sure. (Youre not really to believe that your a bad person lol its just a response to your intrusive thoughts)

Everything will be okay. No matter what. Whether you feel amazing right now or like scum of the earth, it will be okay. Instead of engaging with my ocd I will just write kind message. I hope everyone is doing okay. I understand the struggle.

Is it okay to use "I am" statements when intrusive thoughts come up? I'm afraid of telling myself the wrong things and it becoming a compulsion. If anyone has advice, I'd appreciate it! 🤍
