Mine switch’s between type 1 and type 2. I generally “feel” he doesn’t love me or isn’t into me anymore. This causes him distress and so I start avoiding to give him space and mine then switches to me “feeling” I don’t like him, I’m not attracted to him, I deserve more ect. It’s very common to have both types of ROCD. Especially if you have had abandonment issues in the past or have a disorganized attachment style. You are stronger than your OCD tells you you are!

Avoiding affection can also be a compulsion.

I truly believe I don’t love him… I can’t even say I love you….. is therapy the only way to save my relationship?!?

The key is to get therapy especially ERP therapy to help yourself and then reevaluate the relationship with a healthy mindset.
