1. Yes absolutely. I feel like I have to continuously connect on a deep level or there isn’t a connection! But that’s not true. Maybe the connection isn’t there, but more than likely, it is (esp if you feel it often just not constantly!). The same way you can’t be happy all the time or talk all the time, you can’t be connected all the time. That’s asking a LoT out of your SO; but you are connected! and the uncertainty can be kind of beautiful when you’re not sure (and accept that you’re not sure), go on about your normal life/focus on other things and then your SO sparks that connection again. It’s like a beautiful surprise
3. You can’t 🤷🏻♀️ but accepting that your feelings will pass and they are OCD trying to spoil your relationship because you care deeply about it. OCD is trying to take you out of the moment, but it doesn’t control you! You can say “I accept these feelings but they do not control/define me.” And refocus elsewhere.
This is what I try to tell myself when I’m freaking out… I definitely do and did in past relationships a lot… I hope that made sense…!!
