LITERALLY ALL the girls I see whether it's on the networks or in real life (even sometimes from afar or I don't see them..!) I have the impression that I like her or somthing.. I wonder if they are lesbians (and if I learn that they are it freaks me out!! ) if yes if i can imagine myself with her ect…
I think the masculine women are more triggering bc they are ~usually~ the more obvious lesbians, so it's understandable that us having soocd will latch onto them and the idea that ur into them just bc you can pretty much tell they're a lesbian. I'm so sorry if that made no sense hahaha

Same! What I hate though right now is my mind will focus on one specific person which makes it feel ever more like a crush because it’s focusing on one person even tho I know I don’t like them like that. My brain is just so convincing though I hate it 😭
SAME! A girl at work came out to me last year, and ever since then my brain has been hyper focused on HER! It’s very distressing. My brain especially tries to trick me because she and I have a lot in common. It makes it even worse. Like my brain is ALWAYS trying to convince me that I’m not straight and that I’m in love with her. It’s awful.
@Rabbit77 do you see a therapist, its very commun with hocd , ocd wants to make it as real as possible so focusing on someone makes it even more real! I say that but I have no idea how to stop...
@syl47 Yes I see a therapist through this app. I just started a couple of weeks ago. She told me she can help me with this! :) it’s still such a struggle though!

@Rabbit77 YES EXACTLY! It makes it feel so much more real I hate it 😭 it just also feels so convincing tho. It’s like I know it’s not like that but my head says otherwise. For me it’s someone I don’t really know but she looks very boyish and my head took that as “oh cuz she looks like a boy you like her” and I’m like nooooo. It’s so annoying it won’t stop fixating on her. I’m in therapy too though so I hope it works out!

@Rabbit77 sorry to bother you but I really have a hard time with this false attraction for this girl from my school, I don't know if it's real or not.. I tell myself that I may be using the toc as an excuse I'm really bad..did you have any advice?
@syl47 Hi! :) what I’ve learned in therapy is that #1. They’re just thoughts. #2. OCD is a bully and when we fight the bully with fear, compulsions, etc. he keeps coming back. We just have to say to the bully, “hm interesting. Maybe you’re right.” Tease the bully. Make it no fun for the bully to bully us. Act like you don’t care. Even AGREE with the bully (even if you really don’t). The bully will eventually stop coming back or at least come back a lot less. Does that make sense?

@syl47 I completely understand. That’s how I felt at first too. I was TERRIFIED to act indifferently to my OCD thoughts because I was like “but wait! This is telling my OCD I agree with it so then it’s true and my thoughts are real!” . But the more you do it, the easier it gets and the thoughts come way less.
@Rabbit77 the same! the hardest part is when I'm at school and I'm therefore confronted with it when I look at it it's to test myself so stop but if stop I avoid it completely so it's complex

yes me too bien when im in shcool my mind focus on somoene and its triggers me +++ because i think this person is lesbian and i dont kwon her i never even spoke to her! but the fact that she is potentially lesbian (very masculine) scares me and so my brain focuses on her (idk if that's understandable.. but i mean its so ocd..)
@syl47 I get this too especially with the “very masculine” thing because my mind takes it as “ooo they look like a boy so you don’t mind” and I’m like noooo
So I identify as a lesbian and I am in a committed relationship with a wonderful girl. But i’m stressing that I have crushes on boys I go to school with. I get anxious around them, which I think I mistake for excitement. I obsess over it in my head which confuses me a lot. Idk I also never think about them sexually or romantically but I think about them often which is scaring me. Any advice?
Hi everyone, I have been struggling with something for a while and I am starting to wonder if it is related to OCD. For as long as I can remember, I have had this habit of looking at people, whether friends, family, or strangers and even kids, through a lens that feels like it is from the perspective of someone who might find them attractive or sexualize them. I don’t want to feel attracted; it just feels like my brain automatically puts them in that perspective. I’ve done this for as long as I can remember, and I honestly thought it was just part of me being curious or creative. I have always thought this was just a quirk of my brain, but now I am starting to wonder if it is an OCD thing, especially since it feels automatic and I get anxious afterward. Has anyone else experienced this? I did not think this was part of OCD, but now I am not so sure.
hi i’m a lesbian! and i have known im a lesbian for a really long time and i have a sweet girlfriend of 1 year. it all started when i saw this masc lesbian come out as straight, after that i had my guy friend over and he’s a sweet guy and he was flirting with me (he didn’t know i was gay) im not sure but i panicked and my brain froze and i was like “do i like him”, ever since my brain has been over worked 24/7 for 2 months now and it’s spiralling constantly. im trying to control it but all these thoughts are so disgusting and my brain tries to put him and i in scenarios that make me uncomfortable and i feel panic and i hate it. i have always been comfortable being a lesbian and i still am comfortable as a lesbian, but i dislike these thoughts i have about him and men and i want it to be over. i do not want to experiment with men even tho my brain is telling me i do, i find it disgusting and i dread it, i have a sweet girlfriend and i want to be with her forever, i do not imagine anything with any men and i hate these thoughts. im scared of becoming bisexual/straight one day and i hate hearing sexuality is fluid. its a whole mix of comphet and so-ocd
