Convinced I like a girl

There’s a coworker of mine who I know is queer and for some reason I thought to myself, yeah she’s pretty cool, and now I’m CONVINCED I have a crush. Like it honestly feels like the crushes I would have as a kid, but I can’t tell if that’s just because I have anxiety about my sexuality or if I really do have a crush? Idk but I feel like when I calm down I’ll go back to like normal but it feels so weird. Like maybe I really do have a crush? Ughhhhhh.

It was more feeling based versus thoughts based than what I described. Like I could feel myself gravitating towards her and watching her during meetings but I truly cannot tell if it’s an actual crush or just the anxiety about having a crush that I’m convincing myself I do and it’s mimicking the feelings I would normally have in crushes. I hate this so fucking much. I’m uncomfortable.

@Cassandragoth yes i definitely have been there! its your ocd messing with u! mine triggers me because it happened when i didn’t know i had ocd! sometimes we can be drawn to people in a non sexual/romantic way

@ocdhelplol and it’s so annoying because when i’m calm im like i’m pretty sure it wasn’t a crush but then i check it again and anxiety goes off

@ocdhelplol Ok yeah but it’s really weird this time. It feels like how I felt towards crushes when I was younger. Like a butterflies feeling, the classic crush feeling and obsession. But I then get anxiety and I get so uncomfortable with the thought of actually being with her

@ocdhelplol During my ocd… I’m just so confused. It feels like the same type of crush I had on my ex boyfriend that I haven’t felt for anyone else since him

@Cassandragoth Ok actually I’m going to back track because this I actually do remember having a crush on someone else (opposite sex) and it didn’t give me anxiety. I was excited to see him all the time and got nervous talking to him but not anxious at all about the idea of being with him

@Cassandragoth I have also had an obsessive crush on a guy in the past that I know I didn’t want to be with and in reality didn’t like him as a person and this feels like that.

@Cassandragoth yeah i feel like since your brain is focused on this theme it’s being transferred onto this girl turning it into an obsession and what not! plus i feel like you would be okay with the idea of being with her! the only anxiety u would feel would be from others perceptions or what not

@Cassandragoth Like I had a similar crush on a boy in middle school and I knew my parents wouldn’t approve so it felt wrong and like I wouldn’t ever actually date him

intrusive feelings

hey, so i’ve had these insane thoughts about like, this dude. and i assumed it’s intrusive feelings, but it also has happened w the fact o think i like girls? but i don’t? like, i get the gronal response, and everything, and like, it sometimes feels like i actually like them, but it always makes me sick? same way w the false attraction guy, and it even started happening w my bsf of like 9 years? and it’ll tell me the most insane things like “maybe u are attracted” “maybe if u got w them the thoughts will stop” someone please help.

So I identify as a lesbian and I am in a committed relationship with a wonderful girl. But i’m stressing that I have crushes on boys I go to school with. I get anxious around them, which I think I mistake for excitement. I obsess over it in my head which confuses me a lot. Idk I also never think about them sexually or romantically but I think about them often which is scaring me. Any advice?

I’m confused

I keep wondering if I’m attracted to this kid I saw a week ago or not, it keeps happening, I can’t figure it out, what I hope is false attraction is feeling too real, I don’t wan to like the kid, I never wish to like kids, I genuinely feel like I’m just in doubt, I can’t figure it out, it feels weird, I don’t feel any guilt, shame, disgust, or panic, idk why but ik that I’m supposed to feel that, it makes me feel like I’m a real p. I barley get any negative emotion from those thoughts anymore, even when these thoughts started I didn’t feel shame or guilt, but I think I did feel worry and panic, I’m not sure anymore, I don’t remember.
