I really need help. Read my last post if you can. Please. I want to give up and I can’t do that. Everything hurts so much all the time. The thoughts going wild in my head telling me so many scary things that I pray to God aren’t true. What do I do? What can I do? 💔🙏🏻😭
Hi! First. Take a breath. These are thoughts. Thoughts are just random that pop into your head. Ocd is a liar. A LIAR. It’s a bully. Instead of fighting the thoughts, bully them back a little. There is a reason you’ve never acted on them, right? Focus on 5 minutes from now. In 5 minutes, you’ll still be okay. You’ll still have caused no harm. 5 minutes will turn into 5 hours. 5 hours will turn into 5 days. You’ll still be okay. Sometimes I even make myself laugh at how repulsive the thoughts that pop into my brain are. They do not have anything to do with who you are as a person. I know the feeling all too well. Do not give up. Remember a bad OCD flare does not last forever. Please hang in there. If it gets worse, please tell someone you trust and seek help asap. You’ll win over this bully so please do not give Up!!
Thank you so much. But it’s real event not intrusive. I’ve dealt with the intrusive thoughts and they aren’t nearly as horrible as this makes me feel. Real event is my worst theme and it mixes up with another one of my worst themes. I’m so upset. I can’t stop crying. I appreciate that you are trying to help me and I appreciate it so very much but nothing is helping. I can’t talk to my mom about it because she gets upset with me because I’ve talked to her so many times before about it and my therapist obviously won’t say anything because they are an ocd specialist and won’t give reassurance but I really need it. I’m so scared. I wish I had answers but I can’t get them from anywhere and that’s not how ocd works. Even with answers it still comes back over and over and gets stronger than ever before

@hfair121691 I already did that’s why I said to check out my last post from a little bit ago. I explained everything already. It’s embarrassing and it’s really scary for me but I’ve explained it so many times already here I don’t think I can do it again

@Just Breathe ❤️ I can't find any messages that you posted within the last 8 hours, but I have read some of your previous posts. The person who posted a message one or two minutes after you did talked about self judgement. I'm not sure what your theology is, but I thought the post might be relevant to your situation

@work in progress Yeah for some reason some posts disappear it was 3 hours ago I believe when I posted it. I’m starting to feel a little bit more relief even thought I feel like I don’t deserve to feel relief but it’s whatever. Yes I saw their post and it was very helpful. Thank you

Yes ^^. I just did a therapy session today and we spoke about this. Fighting back your thoughts and trying to understand why you are having them will make it worse. Accept the uncertainty if you can. Everyone has intrusive thoughts. Ocd people just obsess over them. Realize that it’s okay to not always be certain. When thoughts pop into my head. Now I say. “So what?” Or “maybe so” to them. You haven’t acted on them before so what makes now any different. Do not fight them so much. I have tried this myself and the thoughts go away quicker. Hang in there.
@hfair121691 If you can read my last post I explained everything. I think people misunderstand Real Event OCD a lot. The memory is real not intrusive. Yes the thoughts I’m having now about could be intrusive and maybe that’s why they are so terrifying? Because I don’t know if they are real? What if they are? I don’t know if I can handle that
