Like it’s almost like I’m thinking what if I can’t make it to the next day and I keep thinking each day what if it’s my last or what if I won’t make it to this certain date because your just in too much distress from this thought that it’s gonna pile up all stress and anxiety from this thought and soon your gonna hurt yourself it’s a scary feeling and it makes me want to just go back to how I was feeling 2 weeks ago before this thought

I’ve been here! I have suicidal OCD themes. I have thoughts pretty often that I should end my life. I think these thoughts especially get stuck when we’re very stressed. For some reason, I think for some people with OCD, when our life gets tough and more stressful, suicidal themes feel like they can latch on. I think it works pretty well, but the key is to learn to accept that you can have these thoughts and don’t need to lean into compulsions to get out of them. It sounds like they’re especially stuck because you’re trying to find some way out. It’s not easy and recovery in the beginning is super challenging, but it’s rewarding when you learn to accept your thoughts and not stay in the OCD cycle by giving into compulsions.
