I don’t want to be with men but my head is convincing me that I was romantically attracted to my friend I really don’t want to be with men I really don’t I hate it, please someone help me and give me advice :( I don’t wanna do this anymore.
Don’t ignore it, allow the thoughts, recognize how they make you feel, do not try to comfort yourself when those thoughts feel scary and anxious. Allow yourself to feel all the feelings. Allow yourself to have whatever thoughts come and go. Practicing mindfulness is your best friend, trust me I was in your same position with this theme. also people in denial, don’t think they’re in denial. They don’t like thinking about the thing that they’re in denial about. People like us who have this theme are always thinking about how we could be in denial.

@Someonepleasehelp Of course and just remember to be kind to yourself and compassionate. I found that getting upset at myself for thinking about things made this theme stick worse. Mindfulness is sometimes hard to practice at first (at least it was for me) but it will get easier. Be kind, patient and compassionate to yourself. Allow yourself to feel everything. You’ll be okay I promise!
Laugh at your OCD and keep yourself distracted. Also you can say “maybe I am, maybe I’m not, I don’t care about it now” this helped calm my anxiety.
@Ghost123 But it’s really freaking me out as I don’t want to be with men it really feels like I’m lying to myself how can I like men when I don’t want to be with them 🙁
@Someonepleasehelp I know how you feel because felt exactly the same this morning. I had a dream about it where it triggered me. I woke up feeling like it was real. I knew it wasn’t true, so just faced my OCD and said those words in frustration, “you know what? Maybe I am, maybe I’m not! Who knows? I don’t know and I don’t wanna figure it out right now”.

@Ghost123 It really is I feel so alone I hate it😞 I want it all to end I miss the feeling of women I don’t want to want men if you get it ? I really hope I’m not bi it’s causing me a lot of distress😞
@Ghost123 this helped me bc my OCD just tried to convince me of something ik i’m not. it feels scary to think i’m denial bc i feel barely any anxiety and that’s what makes me feel that way. but when i get anxious even tho it’s not a lot. i tell myself maybe maybe not and it helped me calm down. but i still feel scared
You never have to do anything you don’t want to. You are in control

Yes I understand man. There are times that thoughts get in and they are annoying and I’m slowly going back to doing stuff I went to go play soccer and no anxiety and there were guys shirtless and thoughts were Forsure running. It sucks but just humor them and sometimes you can get set back and it sucks hang in there. Also I had an urge but kept my cool because I didn’t want to do it so just keep cool and recognize that your are going through somthing and push through this is hell ngl…
I’m having a panic attack right now. I’m talking to a cute boy and my mind is telling me I’m not attracted to him and I’m attracted to girls. I want to be with a guy. But what if I’m into girls and I have internal homophobia. I don’t want to be gay because it’s not something I believe in. I feel the need to come out. I want to be into men like I was. I hate this living like this is such a waste. I literally don’t want to be here. I’m at work and I’m freaking out
I’m literally having a panic attack. I’m reading all these articles about straight women watching lesbian porn and a lot of the articles say it doesn’t mean you’re a lesbian, but that you could be heading towards a bi lifestyle and I just can’t handle that. Like I don’t want to be bi, but I’m scared I am! I feel like my life is ruined and I’ll never be the same. I can’t even look at myself in the mirror anymore. All I ever wanted was guys and now my head is messing with me and making me believe I’m now attracted to girls. It doesn’t make me happy at all! It just causes me anxiety and depression, but I feel like a lot of bi people talk about going through that. I wish I had never even watched porn. I feel like it’s caused all of this. Like that it could have made me bi. Now I hate myself for it. I can’t even hang out with any of my female friends anymore. My whole life is just ruined. Sorry to rant but it’s the only place I can.
Please someone help me. I feel like I’m in denial. I feel like I don’t have ocd. It’s too real. The intrusive thoughts aren’t as frequent, I don’t have anxiety or do compulsions. I’m not even against the thoughts anymore. I can’t explain how real it feels. It can’t be ocd and the thing is I just don’t want to like girls. That’s it. I just don’t want to. But that sounds like I’m resisting my sexuality and it feels like this too. I’m sorry to everyone on this app but I don’t think I’m like u anymore. If things like internalised homophobia and comphet didn’t exist then I’d know I was straight but they do so now I think I’m just that. I don’t want to marry a girl or have sex with one or anything. I want to be straight and just fucking live my life. I’ve never had a boyfriend and I haven’t had a crush on a boy for years even though my ‘ocd’ started in the summer. I’ve had loads of male celebrity crushes that I’ve felt like I’ve loved and I don’t understand how those could’ve been fake but they must have been. Compulsions don’t comfort me I just watch tv to distract myself and that’s it. I can’t do this shit anymore. I don’t want to like girls but I have to be either bi or lesbian. Please I just want to be straight I don’t get it.
