Can ROCD play tricks in you!? I know I love him. But it doesn’t seem like it’s ROCD anymore☹️ No intrusive thoughts… but there is anxiety… 😞 I saw a picture of my friend and her husband. Starting panicking asking myself do I deserve better!?!?!😰😰 I have a good relationship. This isn’t real right!?!? Do I want to end my relationship!! I got rid of my break up urge’s yesterday but now there back!
Were my happy moments a lie!! I cried in the shower begging hoping this isn’t real!
It seems tough for you but I suggest you just wait because OCD always takes a chance to give us false anxiety and false feelings...I hope everything gets better and it has happened to me a few times too, but i just tried to keep going like accept that maybe yes I don't feel this for him and maybe i do wanna leave but I'll still choose to be with him...what I've learnt is that a relationship is more than what we just feel for our partner hope this helps atleast a bit, and maybe you should try meeting up with a therepist if possible . I really hope it gets better!
Hi darling! I ended relationships bc ROCD before so I understand this pain. The truth is, we cannot know if we truly want to be with someone unless we fight through the ocd to be able to even see clearly. I spent hours contemplating ending a relationship bc he had blue eyes. Freedom is found in not knowing for sure and just going day by day in an uncertain world and being grateful for what we have now! I hope you’ve found resources on this app or try out the amazing ERP 🤩 It is SO difficult but it is worth having your life back!
@hellopeople And to be clear, in no way am I saying you should break up! What I AM saying is to break up with the OCD surrounding him 🙂 I know you are an incredibly strong woman bc I also went through this. Hold on to the hope that you can overcome this 🙂 it just feels so counterintuitive to get through it 😕

@7710 ❤️ I’m so sorry- I know the anxiety can hit like bricks the moment u wake up! ERP is sooo difficult- we don’t want our thoughts to be true- but to fight ocd and kill it we have to fight with uncertainty- so we can come to that place again where we don’t have doubts.
@hellopeople My happy moments… where I knew for sure I loved him… were they even my truth… 😢 I was so happy when those moments came… 😢💔 Now it’s honestly like I don’t want to be with him anymore and that I am just with him to not hurt him… I use to get those thoughts saying that to me… when I said I didn’t wanna break up… I don’t wanna end a relationship that can heal and move forward. I just want to heal and be with him. I am just scared bc I know there are issues I am worrying about and the thing is it’s stuff that can be solved.. I thought so deeply about the future that I am sabotaging my relationship.. he even said he how can we make things better if I am like this… 😢😞

@7710 ❤️ I know how hard it is💔 We can’t use our emotions as a source of truth. Things can be true without a feeling attached to it. ERP really helped me understand this. You can get through this friend❤️
@hellopeople That’s the thing I didn’t feel anything. I just suddenly stopped thinking about it and was actually able to be me. I don’t know how I did it but I actually stopped obsessing and I was doing great!
@7710 ❤️ That’s wonderful- we can not feel anything and something can still be true! I always think about how I felt like I *needed* to feel happy at Christmas or I was doing it wrong. But I don’t need to feel *anything* and it will still be Christmas. (Not sure if my analogy makes sense) I’m happy you found that you were able to stop obsessing!!! Whoooh! I remember my therapist relating ERP to building a muscle, slowly you get better at it though it’s difficult 🙂

Guys!! I really need your help. I've been feeling good for the 1st time ever. No anxiety, no thoughts Like what if I don't love him. Even when i saw him my brain said he's ugly, and i said so what? Let him be ugly and I enjoed looking at him thru video call. Then he sent pics, and i expected myself to get some feeling and i didn't so i said it's fine. He looks good to me. I've experienced rocd for 2 months, no therapy, no medicine. I just prayed. Ik many of y'all aren't religious but i am somewhat. Anyway I'm scared now that this wasn't rocd. I've seen people suffer for 1 year.. and i feel better in 2 months... Now I'm wondering and a bit scared. That all those thoughts that you don't love him is true... Omg I'll have to breakup... Seee.. I didn't get any anxiety thinking or typing that.. what is this crap
Hi all, I just joined this app today after finding its recommendation on reddit so bear with me. The past three weeks of my life has been a living hell. Out of nowhere, I started obsessing about if I need to leave my partner. So let me just say, I love my partner so much, we’ve been together for 1.5 years. The thoughts about leaving him are eating me up and pulling me apart. For three weeks straight now from the second I wake up to the second I fall asleep, all I can think about is how I feel like I have to break up with my boyfriend even though I don’t want to. Nothings changed in our relationship but these thoughts have sent me into a spiral. I’ll spend hours reading articles about staying together and breaking up, having multiple crying meltdowns a day about the thought of losing him and that I don’t love him anymore, and feel like I can’t make this anxiety go away unless we break up (AND I DONT WANT TO AT ALL.) This has given my physical symptoms of nausea, chest ache, stomach issues, and mental symptoms of a pit in my stomach, constant feeling of dread, obsessive thoughts that I can’t stop thinking, and the guilt is unimaginable. I love him and I can’t imagine being with someone else. I don’t know what to do anymore. Is this ROCD or am I a bad partner?
How can I believe that this is ROCD when there are some proof? Like… I know my ROCD could have exaggerated things.. I know when I am calm I love him and hug him. But this morning was bad.. I started crying when he told me he loved me… before he got of the car I hugged him super hard… I can’t shake this off… I wanna accept his flaws… when I don’t overthink I know I love him.. some parts of him I know I dislike and I told him what thoses things are…. I know relationships go thru rough patches.. I wanna fix it! It’s like my brain is trying to force me to run away.. My friend told me that my relationship is fine. It’s just both of our mental states are to blame for why our relationship is struggling…. I just want my relationship back.. if we break up.. I don’t know if I can handle another relationship again.. I can’t… I just don’t want to
