I… can’t shake this at all!! I am seriously needing an answer! Did anyone ever fall out of love or truly believed they did!!? I am believing I don’t love him romantically anymore but when I say I wanna break up I cry alittle saying I dont! I even bought him cookies! 😢
Relationships are full of uncertainty and changing emotions, and I think OCD really takes advantage of that. I struggled intensely at the end of my last relationship, believing at times that I didn't love her anymore and needed to leave to be fair to her and then flipping and feeling like I was in love with her and regretting leaving. It can be so difficult to navigate, but I promise it is possible. and it gets better! you've got this

@7710 ❤️ Please get help, you are distressed and just staying where you are right now won't change anything but make it worse. You need to get treatment, it may be scary but it's worth it.
@Angela_89 You’re right…. Right now I am calmish but still confused. I really need someone professional to talk about this stuff with…. Right now I don’t know how I truly feel anymore… I know I am just very very unhappy. He’s staying at a friends house tonight to get away from the chaos that my family causes. I know he needs to have space. But my brain links him as a bad person for that. 😞
@Angela_89 I know if I find out I don’t love him I will have to end my relationship… 😞 I don’t know if my emotions are numbed out but I am not even sad…. I just am so depressed I don’t care about anything anymore.., I wanna go to bed but my mind is racing with every attempt.
@7710 ❤️ It's more likely that your emotions are numbed out, you are depressed and it can cause us to feel numb to everything because of the amount of stress we feel. Overanalyzing your thoughts and feelings won't help because that will lead to a stressful cycle of thoughts because of ROCD doubting your relationship constantly.
All my happy moments… were lies… all of it… I just at this point want freedom… from being miserable… 😞

They are just thoughts, it doesn't define us but we still attach to them but you can try to do this video "guided meditation for ocd/anxiety - detachment from intrusive thoughts" it helps me and I hope it helps you, also get treatment.
@Angela_89 I’ll watch it. But do i just sit with this? Thinking I don’t love him? Thinking I wanna break up? I’ve read that… people can fall out of love and still have ROCD… 😞 I think I’ve read too much on Reddit…
@7710 ❤️ yeah you are just going to have to sit with those thoughts, also your story isn't going to be the same as other people's story. Don't look up on anything related about loving partner and ROCD. That is a compulsion
@7710 ❤️ Googling things like if the relationship is right or loving partner, any intrusive thought you are having related to that. That is a compulsion, it's like that post that was somewhere on here where it said that there is information vs compulsion. Information is where you search up something and become like "ok cool at least I know" and you forget about it. While compulsion is where you are searching what you are fearing on an intrusive thought and you end up searching then your done but u still keep thinking about it and having discomfort.

@7710 ❤️ Thoughts can turn into a feeling and that's what makes it feel real, it makes sense why you are really stressed and feel numb at the moment is because you have been compulsions by searching things up about your feelings towards partner and overanalyzing your feelings

I just had a panic attack. It feels too real. It feels like I don’t have feelings for him anymore. Why is this happening? Why don’t I feel anything? Why don’t I love him? Why am I even questioning whether I ever loved him in the first place? I’ve been stuck in this for so long that I’m starting to believe it’s the truth. What if I feel this way because I just don’t want to accept that I don’t like him? What if I led him on this entire time? When I talk to him, I feel nothing. I’m not interested in anything. I can’t have conversations with him, I can’t kiss him, I just feel numb and fake. I feel horrible. What is happening to me? How did I get here? Why don’t I feel okay? I don’t understand what I feel. I feel like I’m lying to myself, like I’m stuck in this terrifying loop. I also feel like I don’t even care that I’m hurting him. I know he’s upset, and I know this is affecting him too, but I feel nothing about it. I don’t know why. It’s like something is blocking me from feeling anything. I know I should care. I know I love him. So why do I feel like I don’t? I feel so lost. I feel like I’ve changed. I don’t recognize myself anymore. What if this is real? I just want to feel normal again. i dont understand what is happening. i fear i didn’t love him ever because these thoughts started in the 4th month of us being together. in two months we make 2 years. am i leading him on? im a horrible person. i dont understand .
Lately, I’ve been feeling like something has changed in me — like I have changed, and like my feelings for my boyfriend have faded or shifted. It’s one of the worst sensations I’ve ever felt. I keep thinking things like “I don’t love him like before” or “I’ve changed too much to feel anything now.” Sometimes when he calls me or makes a joke, I get irritated for no reason. I feel like I’m being mean, cold, disconnected — and then guilt crashes down on me. I remember how I used to feel: warm, close, expressive. And now… I just don’t feel the same. That makes me think: “Maybe I’ve fallen out of love.” But I’m also constantly anxious. I overthink every moment. I can’t relax into anything without analyzing if what I feel is “right.” It makes me wonder — maybe I haven’t actually changed. Maybe I’m just overwhelmed and tired from months of these thoughts and fears. I don’t know how to feel right now. I just want to believe that this disconnection isn’t proof that love is gone, but a sign that I’m scared and burnt out.
I feel like I’m falling apart. I’ve been with my boyfriend for 2 years. He’s kind, loving, supportive — and I know he loves me deeply. But I can’t feel anything anymore. I sit next to him, and I feel numb. I kiss him, and it feels empty. I remember how I used to feel, and now… nothing. It terrifies me. The worst part is that I don’t even know what’s real anymore. I constantly question if I ever loved him, if I’m just forcing things out of guilt or fear. Sometimes I imagine breaking up, and I feel nothing — and that scares me even more. I keep thinking: if I really loved him, wouldn’t I feel it? I’ve read about ROCD. I want to believe that’s what this is. But the thoughts feel so real. And I can’t stop spiraling. My therapist didn’t help — she made me feel like maybe I was lying to myself. My mom either tells me to stop overthinking or gets angry. I have no one to really talk to. If anyone here has been through this — through the numbness, the “what if I never loved him?” thoughts, the feeling like it’s all fake — please tell me how you got through. I’m exhausted. I just want to feel peace again.
