Guilt is one of the bigger things that keep us locked into our OCD. Our subtypes can give us so much guilt and shame and make us feel as if we compulsively try to solve it, that we will eventually be free of the thoughts. It’s important to take the time to recognize that your guilt is a trick through your OCD to make you question your reality. Having core values at these times are important because you can remember that your OCD might be sticky in these moments because it’s making you question the kind of person you are. Maybe you value being a good person, so OCD is locking in. Take this time to remember that OCD isn’t reality.
WAIT IM ALSO 19!!! i looked at ur bio and we have the same stuff😭
@jessepinkman Omg REALLY ahh
@katr :,) YESSS LOL
@jessepinkman Well I feel relieved that someone has the same things as me 😭 bc it is hard LOL
This is called “meta-ocd” which is doubting your diagnosis. OCD is the doubting disease, so of course you may even begin to doubt your diagnosis. Why? Because if it’s not ocd then you truly must be a pedo. So your POCD is using that fear to even begin to doubt the OCD label. There is no concrete way to prove whether you have it or not. But people have created a set of symptoms that are associated with OCD. Because mental illnesses are really just an umbrella of a plethora of complex symptoms, rumination over the diagnosis itself is not helpful. As for the guilt aspect, it is a normal human emotion. Your OCD is using the emotion of guilt to bully you. I don’t wanna give you reassurance so I will stop here but just know you deserve love and kindness.
It is I'm going through it right now 😪 but I keep my head up
@andy1121 Yeah 😕 it’s hard but I hope things turn up soon!

@andy1121 Yeah 🥲
@katr :,) I’m just scared of my thoughts rn and I hate that it’s still in my head
Ik that feeling it sucks ,but the best we can do is accept it and not let it bother us .
@andy1121 It’s so hard to accept thoughts tho like I get it but at the same time I just can’t get past it I just let it be there and stop arguing but the feelings and groinals are still there :/
I've went through the same . It gets better

My guilt over my pocd thoughts has been progressing and it is because of that same reason I'm scared to fall back into feeling guilty again and not having control over it. I'm like what if one day the guilt becomes so bad that I end up having self destructive behavior because I deserve the worst??? ?
I am worrying it isn't pocd
i hate this guilt!!! why do i have to have guilt!!! i hate p*dos! i think they’re evil and disgusting! my pocd is trying to convince me i am one of them and i should be dead or in jail😭i hate this so much, i have no desire to ever ever hurt a child, i think it’s the most evil thing you can do. so why is my brain trying to convince me i am that? why do i have to suffer every single day with intrusive thoughts and guilt when i know who i am inside, it’s just the random intrusive images and thoughts that are the problem :( the last few weeks have been extra difficult, i’ve been feeling just depressed and like i should end it all because of this guilt. i hate feeling like this.
