It’s normal that what happened is a HUGE trigger for rocd sufferers!! Don’t let that interfere with your CHOICE, because love is a choice and feelings come and go! Don’t take decisions when your mind is in chaos! Just work on your ocd as you normally do because even if it seems to be different (like your intuition is telling the truth), that’s the way ocd tries its best to convince you! Keep nurturing your love!

That’s all true! Memories have the power to make us look back in the past, but with rocd it goes as a vicious cycle of doubt and analysis. Don’t ruin your relationship because of that...

I’ll try not to, it keeps nagging at me saying that it feels more right with the other guy, but I’ve been way more comfortable with my boyfriend and I’ve been able to be more like myself without worrying about having to act cool to impress him, and it’s the first time ever I’ve felt this comfortable with anyone

Thank you so much!! I think it’s making me feel what I used to feel for him and comparing that to my current relationship. I hadn’t even thought of him until my ocd said one day ‘hey, what if you’re meant to be with this guy and not your boyfriend like you always believed before you met your boyfriend’ and then with him popping up just sent me into an overdrive of compulsions, it’s just a little bitch sometimes ?
