I hate that idek if it is rocd this time, how can I go from liking someone so much to then a week later thinking u don't like her anymore you're guilty about it and u wouldn't care if u ended things you should end things it isn't rocd ur using that as an excuse that feeling just isn't there anymore even tho I don't want to end things with her that's why I haven't since I've felt like this
Story of my life homie, the crazy thing is I know for a fact that I love this girl because she’s so dope I’m so many ways. The emotional rollercoaster is taxing on both of us and the guilt just continues to build.
It's just constant sadness guilt and it feels weird talking to her now like I don't want to end things with her but idk what to do I just want things to feel like they did two weeks ago because it's scaring me so much thinking I really just don't like her anymore
@Charlie I’ve been where you are and currently still struggling. All I can say is Identify ALL of your triggers and compulsions and use those triggers to creat exposures. Replace your compulsions with a “maybe I do maybe I don’t” attitude and you’ll start making progress. I’m still in the beginning stages myself but I believe in erp. Hang in there bro.

@Iamnotmyocd But what If it really isn't ocd, we've gone through a rough patch and had a big fight two weeks ago and we both learnt things about each other and idk if it is ocd it feels like deep down I secretly know it isn't or something, I feel like if I don't see her I won't care if she broke up with me I wouldn't care, she told me she really missed me last night and idk if my reaction felt like I still like her
you have to believe that it’s rocd. remember, it attacks and latches on to the things you love most. what are the methods you use to ignore the thoughts?

@Avagrnnnn Absolutely. The more power you give to your thoughts, the bigger they become. I’ve been struggling with this myself, you’re not alone. Think about it. If your thoughts are only making you feel worse, that’s your OCD talking. If you felt permanent relief, it wouldn’t be OCD. you’ve got this, though. It’s huge that you’re aware of your thoughts and taking the time to post it. I believe in you and your journey :)

I think i tend to post my thoughts on this as a compulsion but it just feels so real this time like we have been having a rough patch for a while and we had a big fight and she asked if I was rethinking us and I said no because I genuinely wasn't but now with the feeling of me not liking her anymore it's killing me i don't want to end things
@Avagrnnnn She told me yesterday she has something to tell me and throughy questions I have come to the conclusion it's that she loves me and the thoughts are just streaming in about it
@Charlie Oh same or I search on the internet or take quiz’s to see or ask people for advice I’m constantly obsessing and searching for answers but never satisfied.I can be like that but usually when me and my girl fight I start crying and panicking because I’m scared she’ll break up with me (I have BPD aswell so abandonment issues love that) I don’t want things to end with my girlfriend either the thought of her not being in my life makes me want to die lol
I can relate to this a lot.I’ve been with my girl 5 months and maybe 1 month ago I started getting loads of thoughts out of nowhere for example ‘do I really love’ ‘do I find her attractive’ ‘what if I don’t love her’.And I obsess over these thoughts constantly every day since they starting,I’ve anxiety and headaches from thinking about it so much.I got put on medication to help with it (the anxiety) which it has a small bit but the thoughts are still there.They were kinda okay the past week or two but I went to see her yesterday and I felt weird and guilty for some reason.I don’t want to hurt her I love this girl more than life itself,she’s so beautiful and amazing and everything i need in a person.I want to spend the rest of my life with her but these thoughts feel so real that I start to believe them and acc feel them.It horrible trust me I know myself idk how many times I’ve cried over it.
Even knowing that other people are having the same thoughts just doesn't put my mind at rest it feels like deep down ik it isn't ocd even tho I want it to be so badly😭
@Charlie Same with me I mentioned it to my therapist and he said there just intrusive thoughts to not worry about them.Also if it’s causing you so much stress and anxiety it is more than likely ROCD because if it wasn’t it would be a sign of relief getting those thoughts:)
@Avagrnnnn Idk what to do man i saw an advert for an app on Instagram and it generates an ai couples picture and I immediately just thought okay erp I'll sit thru it and it was awful just thoughts that made me feel like no I don't want to do this with her
Lately, I’ve been feeling like my relationship isn’t real. I keep thinking: • Why am I even with him? • Do I actually like him, or am I just used to him? • What if I’m just convincing myself that I like him? I feel numb, disconnected, and nothing I tell myself reassures me. Sometimes, I get really irritable when we talk, I don’t feel joy, and I start overanalyzing everything. It makes me feel like the absolute truth is that I don’t like him, and I’m just in denial. I also heard that when you don’t like someone, there’s no anxiety—just relief. But I have moments where the thought “I don’t want to be with him” crosses my mind, and I don’t feel anything at all. And because I don’t panic immediately, I start thinking “Maybe this means it’s true.” I’ve read that love isn’t about feeling excitement 24/7, but my mind keeps telling me that if I don’t feel connected, if I have to search for reasons why I like him, that must mean I don’t. I feel like I’m losing touch with my emotions, and no matter what I do, I can’t seem to feel love or happiness the way I used to. It’s like I keep waiting for some proof that I truly want to be with him, but I never find it. Has anyone else felt this way? I feel like I’m trapped in this endless doubt, and I don’t know what’s real anymore.
I’ve been with my partner for almost a year now, and my rocd has become really really bad. I keep feeling like I fell out of love and I just have eyes for other people now, and that I would rather be with someone else. It feels like I’m infatuated with other people and it makes me so guilty. It’s been so hard for me because it’s hard to tell if it’s just my brain convincing me I don’t love my partner or if this is really my desire. The biggest fear I have is hurting my partner, so there’s also a sense of urgency that I need to tell them how I’ve been feeling to prevent myself from leading them on I guess. This is compounded with a history of porn addiction that still affects me and makes me feel like I’m more attracted to others. Has anyone else been in this position? I feel like I’m alone and that this is the sign that I’m terrible and shouldn’t be with my partner and that the end of our relationship is inevitable. I can’t tell if I really love them or not and if I really want to still be with them and I hate that I’m having that doubt.
Is this ROCD? My girlfriend spent the night yesterday and we were cuddling when I felt that I may have not felt attraction towards her anymore. I started to freak out, because I felt that I hated her and didn't love her. When we would kiss I would get an uneasy feeling, like that I didn't want this relationship. I know I do, but it's freaking me out, it's like I can't even feel emotions towards her specifically anymore. I've been so distracted by this problem, I feel I'm also lacking attention towards her. I've been on my phone a lot during her stay because I've just been trying to distract myself. It hurts really bad, and I feel like a rude bitch.
