My Rocd has attached itself to my ex. Saying that he is the one for me instead of my boyfriend who I want to spend the rest of my life with. I just don’t know what to do anymore, has anyone else experienced this??? Please I need support right now.
I am dealing with this exact thing, the past few months I’ve been ruminating nonstop. I’ve had better days recently but my OCD wants to keep coming back to it. I started ERP therapy which is slowly helping, I just keep telling myself progress not perfection. Also I talked to my boyfriend about my ROCD, not specific details on my thoughts because I don’t think that is healthy but to make him aware at least. You aren’t alone and we are all on the right path by acknowledging it.
Yes and like mine brings back all the memories and feelings and uses them against my current bf. Like “did I have more fun with x, did I love him more, do I feel more attracted to x” and literally I can feel what it felt to have those feelings and like the memories grace soo many emotions w them it scared the living hell out of me. It’s been my whole ocd journey almost 2 years and I’m just now learning this is ocd or could be. I have a therapy apt in two days. I pray I get diagnosed with ocd because I know if I don’t it will only get worse of like holy crap if it’s not ocd than is it all true like true true. I love my bf w all my heart and he is the kindest most loving guy I have ever met. My heart aches everyday but I’m hopeful for our love and that the therapy session will go the way it’s meant to

Rocd! Anyone else ever have a worry that they’d rather be with their ex? I don’t actually think it, but I worry that I would want that, and then I feel guilty, like my minds already made up. It gets me super anxious and upset. Makes me feel as if I’ve betrayed the girl I just married, and that my life is ruined. Now. I would never leave her, I don’t want to leave her, I don’t want to lose her, and I certainly don’t want to go back to my ex. But my mental obsessing over that scenario is driving me crazy, and causing me to doubt myself.
My Rocd has attached itself to my ex. Whom I haven’t thought about in almost a year, and If I did, it was literally just passing thoughts. Now they bother me! It’s like my ocd is telling me to leave this relationship that is the absolute best for my ex.
rocd is ruining me and my life and my relationship. i feel so disconnected from my boyfriend bc of it and it’s so frustrating but i also feel so numb that i can’t even feel frustrated or upset or anxious or anything bad when the bad thoughts come bc it’s been so excessive over the past couple of months. i don’t feel anything like i use to and i just wish i could love him peacefully and purely the way i use to with no worry or doubt. i feel like he deserves better bc my mind is constantly telling me i want someone else secretly or makes over analyze anything and everything with him or about him and creates so much doubt in my mind. it feels so real to the point that i feel like i’m betraying him and even though i’m not actually DOING anything to him or behind his back or anything it feels like i would be lying and deceiving him to continue being a good girlfriend and just being good to him if that makes sense. like when i’m actually with him or talking to him it’s mostly good im not thinking badly too much but as soon as he’s gone it all comes and it feels like i’m hiding a different, bad, personality from him when he’s not around. he’s such a good person and i’ve done everything to be so good to him bc i want to and he deserves it all. but inside i feel like don’t know myself at all anymore. i want to get past it but i feel like even if i do i’ll feel like i’m hiding a past betrayal from him. i don’t want to lose him. can anyone help with any of this or share ways they’ve gotten past this.
