There’s nothing in this life but suffering… someone on here just told me that I was in denial of my HOCD and that my worst HOCD fear happened… I don’t know how I’m going to survive uncertainty because of this… I don’t know how I’m going to get better because of this… idk how I’m going to actually trust anyone on here anymore…
Your thoughts don’t define you and your intentions. You will be ok. You have control over what you want to feel and do. Not all emotions are real. Remember OCD, can create emotions that are NOT real. they are triggered by our fears. You are okay I promise. I believe in you. Look up OCD affirmations on google! It helps so much! A thought is just a thought. It’s like a cloud, it’s air. Nothing there and doesn’t define anything !! Try searching up meditation for ocd/ intrusive thoughts. That helped me a lot. I have been through what you are going through. you are not alone and there is hope. You got this! I believe in you!! Best wishes!!
@DGP-rider555 I really do believe in you and I know everything will be ok. Once something starts giving you anxiety and turns into a persistent, uncomfortable thought- I would label it as OCD since that’s what it branches off of. If you find that certain behaviors give you relief from your thoughts. It is also another sign of OCD. and remember OCD is not rational! I would really recommend talking to a professional about this! A therapist helped me so much and also reading! Knowledge about OCD can really help us identify when it’s being triggered :)

@DGP-rider555 Try to identify if your anxious or not. Are these thoughts causing you anxiety? Is it triggered by a fear of you not wanting to do / be something? Once you identify this, if it is anxiety, remember anxious thoughts are not real. Anxiety = OCD. Ocd = irrational feelings/ emotions. You are ok! I wish you well !!

@Givenup You’re ok. Take a deep breath. We know that ocd can make us do things to try to prove to ourselves that our thoughts/ emotions are not real. Another thing✨- what helped me a lot overcome OCD, was reading books. a Book that helped me was called Overcoming unwanted intrusive thoughts by- Sally M Winston!! It helps to gain and see professionals talk about what we are going through! It explains the brain and why it happens. It also gives solid evidence for us to know OCD thoughts and emotions don’t define us! I really recommend it. It pulled me out of all my intrusive thoughts and fears. I promise everything will be ok. I know it’s so exhausting. But there is hope!!! Trust me!
Another thing, realize that all this is driven by fear/anxiety. One thing my therapist told me was, emotions/thoughts you feel while your anxious are NOT rational. Take a deep breath. Inhale 4 seconds hold 7 exhale 8. you are ok, safe, and fine. You got this!
And i dont think there ever will be... im genuinely feeling horrible and i dont feel like ill ever recover from today... first the youtuber mocking pocd... to someone on NOCD telling me that im hiding behind a diagnosis and that i need to turn myself in... im genuinely at a loss for words... i am broken and alone... I have no one to turn to... and at this point i dont think i ever will...
I keep having this weird feeling none stop that it’s most likely not HOCD and most my feelings. Like I’ve suffered none stop distress and unwanted thoughts the past few days. But those thoughts after a bit just feel weird not the kind of discomfort but are just their and stale. When I look at a guy I don’t feel anything but my thoughts sometimes compliment his looks or personality which makes me doubt my sexuality. I’ve never felt this weirded out. Because I’ve always been straight and still believe I am but I’ve never even had an emotional connection to someone of the opposite gender in fact. My view of the female body has been ruined with none stop pornography addictions. I don’t believe I’m gay but I feel like it may just be denial instead of HOCD but all my symptoms are literally HOCD. I don’t hate the idea of gay people but I can’t imagine or see my heart going off to like someone of the same sex. I haven’t really had any meaningful real life friends besides online but that also ended a few months ago. My only friend ever online that was my friend for the longest of time was a queer but I never really cared about what he liked. Like yes at some point I did try to challenge him with his own feelings but that didn’t last long I just accepted what he liked and moved on. I’ve never even touched let alone held a long conversation with a female. I’ve always been timid and shy around them but I can just say that towards male as well. The gay feelings feel so real. The thoughts feel a bit natural to me but I don’t want this. But I hate how I can’t just move on and be myself and love women when those thoughts demand attention and an answer. It won’t quit it. If I try to do a compulsion it calms down but it quickly becomes a problem again. I’m lonely I don’t have any friends or past relationships I can even think of helping me with the emotions. I still believe I’m straight and I just can’t see myself with a guy. It just doesn’t feel right for me despite my lack of experiences. I just wanna go back to how I was happy and loving girls and not having to question if it was a real feeling or just my natural timid nature. Everytime I think these distressing thoughts I always just wanna sit down and close my eyes and sleep. Because that’s where I can have peace of self. It sucks but I’m so exhausted of having to deal with emotional distress and I can’t even focus on my job as much. I want to meet new people discover my love for women again but I’m scared in the process I may discover I may be gay. Because deep down I know I wouldn’t ever be happy with myself if my greatest fears where confirmed. My dream of always being a father with a loving women and kids would be torn away by something I never asked for. Yes I’m religious, yes I come from a place that homosexuals are usually seen in a bad light. I just hate feeling this emotion that I may not be what I thought and having my dreams torn apart maybe true. I’ve read MUTIPLE articles about HOCD and seen MUTIPLE videos. I’ve come to the realization that I most likely have it. But it’s still hard when the feelings of maybe being gay maybe true you know? I hope I get better I hope I don’t suffer. I just wanna be happy with myself and loving females and I don’t wanna hate myself for feeling an emotion that never occurred to me more then a few times.
since february i have "POcd". Initial symptoms were thoughts, but then I did a testing compulsion during an intimate time, and I spiraled ever since. I struggle with addiction to smut. I'm cutting that out, but I feel as if it is too late. Ive never experienced this much mental, and emotional anguish in my life. On my time on this application I have given advice to others, and helped around, but I wonder if that even applies to me. Millions of times I wish I could turn back time and be more careful. I want to prevent many things, including what led me to spiral into OCD in the first place. I'm surely having an OCD episode. I have gotten a diagnosis, but I'm still not sure. I feel evil, cause unlike many here, I tested on my body sensations and it backfired (twice) I know I'm not supposed to figure out why that is the case, but now I have to live with it for the rest of my life even if its something I don't desire. This is disgusting for me, it is abhorrent. I could've never seen this coming. Day by day I've become more fearful of living with this, "OCD". I was a normal person before this, I knew what I was attracted to, I know my preferences, so why did this come about? This is singlehandedly the most painful thing that has happened to me and I have nobody but myself to blame. I am scared of death but I also would'nt mind sleeping for years on end. My parents and brother were understanding of my situation, but I failed them regardless. I don't want them to see me this way, nor do I want them to learn more of my predicament. I'm cooked. I know it, Fin, thats all folks. I'm only 20 and I already have other diagnosed mental illness so I recklessly brought upon myself another one. Its agonizing to live through, I wish this on nobody, not even my worst enemy. I can't even identify myself at this point. Its tearing me apart.
