Does anyone else have intrusive thoughts about how are they are still breathing and not hyperventilating while being able to think about it? Idk if I make sense

yes. this happened to me and i went to like 3 doctors cause I was convinced I had a lung problem (pre ocd diagnosis obviously). what’s really helped me is getting one of the finger oxidizers on amazon. it shows your oxygen rate and your heart rate and it helps ground you back to reality :) hope this helps!
I struggle so bad with intrusive thoughts. They can be so bad that I'll cry because I KNOW that's not how I feel or want to do. (Too embarrassed to say what they're about) I'll constantly try to figure out why I have them, and constantly figure out what they mean, causing me to constantly circle around and around. I had to get on anxeity meds, which helped a little but the thoughts still happen. How do you help yourself with this? How do you know that you're just not some physcopath? 😅
Any one else deal with this? Like from the moment they wake up to the second they fall asleep, the intrusive thoughts are there?
Does anyone know how to get rid of these thoughts? I have to manually breathe almost every second of everyday and it's getting tiresome and I can't stop thinking about no matter what the distractions are.
