Is there anyone that’s lost ALL attraction to the opposite gender. It doesn’t even scare me really anymore. It just makes me so sad. I feel numb towards men. I don’t THINK it used to be like this. I used to have crushes on guys, never a girl. and i loved that feeling. Now it’s all gone. Please. If anyone is out there with this. Please let me know I’m not alone. Please
I know exactly what you’re feeling. My attraction to men diminished for almost a year bc I was so depressed and anxious all the time. Now that I’m coping with it better and focusing less on my sexuality, I’m starting to feel my attraction come back. Some days are bad but it gets better with time.
100% understand where you are coming from. I've spent 2 years with a huge spike in SO theme that ramped up during a very stressful time and just never went away (so far). I was ashamed and didn't tell my doctor any of my symptoms, just that I was feeling anxious. I got put on duloxetine and think that killed my libido along with the barrage of these thoughts daily. I'm at a point where I avoid situations where I may have to sexually perform and it's very distressing. There is a lady that I think(?) I have a crush on, but I can't tell if it's just anxiety or actual emotions. You are definitely not alone! Stay strong, as I'm here trying to do the same thing. Reach out if you need to talk.
@LochNess Thank you so much. I always worry that I’m the only one experiencing it. I’m the same as you. I think there is this ONE guy I might ? Like but it doesn’t feel real enough. I always think I’m alone with this because I feel absolutely numb towards the opposite gender
@Dothewalkoflife. You're welcome! I can at least assure you that you are not alone in this. Treat yourself well regardless. Lately, I've been doing marginally better going to the gym, eating better, and trying to socialize more. It's all tough (especially the gym given our subtypes), but I've noticed little steps forward at least in terms of overall feeling a bit better. When talking or meeting the person you may be interested in, do you get that butterfly feeling in your stomach? I've been getting that with this lady, but I don't trust my emotions much and can't tell if it actually is that feeling or just anxiety. So very odd to experience.
Same, lost all physical and romantic attraction to guys. And I don't even feel scared or sad, and it bugs me. I loved the feeling I got with guys and I just wanted to be like girls. Now it's making me think I liked girls and didn't notice when I wanted to be like them.

@Dothewalkoflife. The loss of attraction is so sad and disappointing! All I used to ever think about was my future with a man but now my brain doesn’t even know what it wants … I have no sex drive to decipher it

I can relate to everything you just said. I’m a male btw but it’s just so scary having loss of attraction. Like you said it’s mostly just sadness and fear rather than anxiety at this point. I’ve lost my sex drive to be in a relationship with a women. Even when I find a women attractive my OCD just tells me I’m “forcing it” or “it’s not real” this is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with
Same here. It tells me I force any ounce of attraction to men I have and let me tell you, it's practically 0 by now. I used to have little moments of clarity knowing this wasn't true, but those went away completely. What's worse is I used to have issues more with depression and certain intrusive thoughts that are gone now and I try to tell myself it's bc of these intrusive thoughts that I don't get the other kind anymore, but it won't listen. I remember this theme causing such depression in the beginning where I was willing to kill myself to escape it getting this far.
I relate almost. I have also lost all feelings and attraction towards men. The only difference is I always crushed on women, I just crushed on men too and more often. It's fluidity my OCD struggles with. I feel totally numb towards men now too, and just sad instead of scared. I feel like I should just accept it and try to find girls instead. But then that starts to feel forced too

i always used to want a bf soo bad and i would get so jealous and kinda sad when i saw guys being cute with their girlfriends and now i don’t even care. like i’m not interested in anyone. and it scares me bc i didn’t lose my attraction bc i still see guys and i’m like omg he’s so cute and stuff but then i ask myself if i would date him and i can’t see myself dating him. and it makes me think i don’t actually like boys. and the guy i had liked for yearssss and wanted to be close with so bad, i don’t have feelings for him anymore. anyone else with hocd have this? you still have the physical attraction but you don’t want a relationship. it’s freaking me out
