i want to know to be able to move on😣 it's so horrible keeping me in the anxiety loop i've tried asking my siblings and they all can't remember so it can't of been anything bad but my mind won't let me move past untill i know 😣

@NaggingOCD Whatever Happened just forget that There's no other way I know it easier said than done But it is what it is you have to forget Thinking about it will only make it more complex and the obsession will never end

i so relate. ur not alone.🤍 this wraps up my entire ocd . just remember it is ur brain showing scenarios to protect u but because we have ocd our brains forget is this just a scenario or did it reallly happen…. the comforting thing with knowing we have ocd is that i promise u that 100% of the time ur brain is just lying. i’m here if u need anything<3
I think you're experiencing reassurance OCD. Your OCD is trying to make you think you may have done something horrible in your past and you're ruminating over it, which is exactly what OCD wants you to do. Keep in mind, if you had done something awful in your past it would have probably come back to haunt you by now. I know it's hard, but this is a time when you should accept uncertainty that it may or may not be true, and then ask yourself "Am I doing it now? Am I planning to do it now? Do I have a choice?" In other words, you're staying in uncertainty and staying in the present, and you just took away OCD's power. If you have a licensed OCD therapist, s/he can help you to work through it. @Steven55! it's not that i have done something my 9yearr old nephew plays games and i remember his mom saying she checked his stuff and someone messaged him and he replied no i'm 9 but my ocd want to know what was said to make sure it wasn't anything bad or dangerous but she can't remember what it was
I'm thinking you can still use uncertainty. "Maybe it was bad, maybe not, I don't know, but he's okay now and I'm moving on." OCD will probably try to pull this on you in some form in the future. Staying in uncertainty and in the present takes away OCD's power. As my therapist said, it's not the content, that's the problem, it's how we react to it. Again, if you don't have an OCD therapist, please consider getting one.

im not diagnosed, but these past two days have been terrible. i constantly have this underlying feeling that i might do something that i think is gross and i feel like i can’t do anything on my own because otherwise i might do something wrong. like i feel like i constantly have to be in front of people so that i can make sure of my every action. this is so exhausting and I’m so confused. and like i keep getting terrible images and stuff replaying in my head. i also try to recall what happened but i feel like i have false event too. i used to have religious ocd and that eventually stopped completely, but now it feels like all my work getting over that was pointless. also like i feel like i might have contamination ocd but not the typical germ type. I just get terrible images and I can’t remember if those images are true or not even though they’re impossible and i feel terrible. I don’t know if i could ever get over this because even the thought of it is terrible.
So i’ve been planning to apply for a job that i’ve always wanted to experienced and i’ve been looking at videos regarding that job. I was scrolling on tiktok when i stumbled upon someone on live talking about the job. i had a very bad intrusive thought and my anxious mind told me that in order to be safe, i need to find that exact live and fix the thought. i’ve been scrolling for the past hour and have not been able to find the account. my brain is not linking the job to the intrusive thought. why is this happening 💔
Last year I used and app to talk about my POCD and people called me a pedo and told me to kill myself. It has been months and I had even forgotten about it, but I talked about my mom yesterday and I feel a sense of doom now. Like, I could have lived my life normally, but this happened. I feel overhelmed, and don't know exactly what to do, cuz when I stop to think about it, it is something awful, but I spend months just not caring, I don't know what to do, it was not even close to the worst thing that has ever happened to me, but it still feels terrible, it keeps echoing in my mind, and It won't go away, and yes I know it is OCD, I just want to let It go. And I lied somethings to my mom cuz if I told the whole truth she would be even more heartbroken (I just didn't say what app it was and I said it was recently, and not months ago) And I feel bad, but now I can't go back, but if I told her the whole truth, she would've just broke down. Basically she thinks it was yesterday and in another app, and I told her I just commented on something. But I feel so bad! I don't want to tell the truth to her, but also, I don't know...
