Hi guys did any of you didn’t take ur realtionship serious in the begging because it wasn’t official ? When I met my boyfriend I didn’t think it was going to be something serious , so I kept texting guys , and after 3 times of hanging out I deleted everyone and knew he’s was my person. I regret it so much and now I feel like the worst person ever ..
I am struggling with cheating Ocd as well and it’s hard and can make it feel so real. My situation happened over a year ago when I blacked out and was walked home by my roommates best guy friend

@1234ocdisabitch I texted guys in the begging while being in a relationship .. I never hung out with them or anything my boyfriend would even come over .. and some guy posted me ( it was just a picture of me) but I don’t remember if I would still text him , I think I blocked the guy
When I first starting talking to the boy I liked I was still talking to other people and getting to know them as well, just like you was and that’s perfectly ok because your not committed to him yet because you aren’t in a relationship at that point. As long as you don’t text boys now for a romantic reason then you shouldn’t feel bad
You’re totally fine! That’s super normal and as long as you haven’t continued to do so while committed you have nothing to be stressed about
@motivatedgirl I don’t remember anything I just know I basically cheated and didn’t take the realtionship the first months , I feel like shit
I’m currently having a huge flare up of ocd and I don’t know necessarily what to do, but I do know that your mind knows exactly how to mess with you and make you feel like this is super important that you have to think about it at all hours of the day, confess, etc. but truthfully, you don’t
Personally I wouldn’t consider ANYTHING you are describing to be cheating
@motivatedgirl Hi I’m sorry for bothering , your right that isn’t cheating . I obviously texted other guys in the begging because I obviously wasn’t going to assume he was the one for me until it felt right that’s when I dropped every guy . But now I have to unconvince myself that I didn’t cheat . I told my boyfriend I cheated .
@1234ocdisabitch I hope everything works out okay regardless when talking with your boyfriend. I would suggest ERP therapy, as well. It’s a hard road but the only way to make this stuff change is to tackle it head on.

I been with him for 4 years , and I been committed and haven’t cheated at all.

I don’t remember the walk home and have been worried sick (constantly ruminating 24 hours basically of every day) that I cheated on the walk home even though I have been reassured many times that I didn’t
If you weren’t committed to your boyfriend you don’t have to do anything. If you were, you can tell him if you’d like but more likely then not you’re just seeking reassurance from him by doing so which will most likely make your Ocd worse, as well.

@1234ocdisabitch I did not know this was rocd related wtf. I knew it was a bit related because I don’t remember if I would text the guys after he started coming inside my house (obviously we were serious) and now I feel like I need to solve it
@1234ocdisabitch Yes. A lot of posts in these threads typically are reassurance speaking whether or not the person knows it
But at the same time, I don’t want to give you reassurance. So I would challenge you to respond to the thoughts with something that spikes your anxiety more, then sit with it, wait, and eventually the thoughts won’t bother you as much
So me and my boyfriend have been dating for a few months but seriously talking for around 8. I have never met anyone so perfect and amazing. I love him so much. Into our talking stage i kissed my ex situation-ship and ever since have been dealing with the consequences. He forgave me and gave me another chance and i have shown him how much i care every day since. He is over it now since it was only in our talking stage. I have had thoughts with my ex name, thoughts i hate my boyfriend, always constantly thinking if im bored, if i love him. It switches day by day and impacts my life constantly. I don’t feel like myself at all. Some days i can’t do it. I just want to be happy and secure with him. my thought from the past few days is that i want to be single and hook up with other people. I don’t actually want to hook up with others but i feel so terrible and guilty. Does anyone else deal with this? Sometimes i can’t tell the difference between my real thoughts and the fake ones. I have been debating breaking up with my boyfriend because i feel like it’s best but i would be so sad. He is perfect and i see myself marrying him.
i have a very strong fear of cheating on my partner due to past experiences in my relationship and so i was scrolling through old messages and i saw i was texting another girl i used to play video games and i also tried to get together with and in this conversation we had talked about how i had got a girlfriend and then we played some games but the messages just seem flirty and i guess i just feel guilty or like what if i cheated and didn’t remember or were my intentions at the time to be flirty does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this?
I met my boyfriend unexpectedly. Obviously you don’t become boyfriend and girlfriend the day you meet . It takes time to get to know eachother and then you become that . But before I met him I had a little fling with someone & I continued to still talk to him and hangout with him until me and my boyfriend now got serious . Is that wrong ? Am I a cheater ? I cut off the other guy like a week into me and the new boyfriend getting to know eachother . But even when I cut the guy off my boyfriend was still out here flirting and hanging with other girls until we became serious . Which I don’t care about anymore . But does that make me a cheater ?
