Anyone else struggle with rapture/left behind fears, feeling the need to be saved over and over again and fears of being left alone/being alone? I had been doing well for a week or two and then this week has been so challenging. Iām trying to trust God and remember that He keeps His promises.
I myself struggle with doubting the goodness of God and His existence, but I have definitely had doubts about my salvation as well. I am sorry it has been so difficult. OCD is a constant battle, everyday is difficult. At the end of the day what has helped me maintain my wavering and changing faith has been poems and continuing to be around other Christians to encourage my faith. Isolation just makes everything worse. God gave me poems as a gift almost a year ago and I write them as a way to manage my OCD doubts and feelings. The wonderful thing is it helps me manage them but does not give me an "answer". Like you said as well, ultimately it comes down to trust. I continue to trust that God is real and good even though my thoughts and feelings tell me exactly the opposite
@Evan912118 Thank you so much for sharing. Truly. I have been having the same struggles that you described. OCD thoughts are scary and they feel so real. I am so encouraged that I am not alone in this battle. I know He is with me and I am so thankful He used you in mine and others lives.
@Evan912118 Also, thank you for sharing about the isolation piece. I struggle with this, especially having triggers at church. But He always meets me there.
@brownr7 They do feel completely real. They are real feelings. But you are not alone š Amen. I definitely get triggered at church all the time as well. Being triggered is the worst, especially since it comes out of nowhere.

Itās been hard. I feel so trapped. I felt okay about a week ago. But these thoughts are really hitting me hard. Especially doubt too. Doubt if God & Jesus loves me because of these awful blasphemous thoughts! Doubts if Iām his child! Doubts if I am saved! I feel like Iām thinking then on purpose but I donāt want these thoughts! They bother me so much! Itās like a tick or Touretteās in my brain. I also have thoughts switches Iāll say I love god but then itāll changed to something so evil is gross :( It feels like I donāt have a relationship with God anymore or like I donāt know how to anymore. It makes me sad and stressing me out. I obviously try not to think awful things but the more I try not too the worse they are. I just feel so lost. I was so on fire and felt like my faith for God & Jesus was unstoppable but now I feel like Iām so far or how could he possibly love me anymore. How could I have these thoughts :(
Iām Christian, and I suddenly had a loss of faith. Iām praying constantly and as anxious and scared that God hasnāt chosen me for this religion, even though I believe in it whole heartedly. My brain is telling me these things, and saying how I would be fit for Islam or something else, even though I am perfectly happy being a Christian. I keep getting intrusive thoughts and feelings about not believing in my religion, and whenever I confess how I do believe, my brain tells me Iām lying or I feel otherwise. It makes me feel guilty and abandoned and alone. I still read my Bible and pray CONSTANTLY. Please help (sorry if this is hard to understand I am ranting)
My faith stays rooted in fear I donāt know how to stop it. I will be okay trying not to worry and let God handle my situations but then see something and go down a rabbit hole and spiral so bad. Cuz I feel like when I donāt worry then Iām not paying attention to anything going on and just going on with my life. I donāt want to follow him out of fear but I do so am I even really following him
