18+ only Does anyone ever see very disgusting sexual material by accident when looking for sexual material that you are comfortable with? This happens when I have a relapse sometimes and I'm either questioning their age and click off or I see something I know I shouldn't have seen and shouldn't exist and it triggers it
Honestly man, your best option is to just quit porn entirely. My p obsessions have been better since quitting entirely.
Porn's affect on the brain isn't talked about enough within itself but it definitely is bad for OCD. My porn obsessions also got better once I gave it up entirely.
@Northern_Downpour I admittedly used pornography as a coping method throughout my teen years. Not realizing myself that this was likely a compulsion. It definitely warped my sexuality and views on healthy sex. It also fueled my core fear of being a predator as statistically speaking most sexual criminals have a history of excessive porn use.
@Lassoinmybrainpls Compulsions surrounding porn are actually pretty common. I think you're brave coming out about it. OCD culture is looking back and realizing things in your past were compulsions you didn't even realize
@Lassoinmybrainpls I've been through the same thing. It genuinely messed me up and I'm not afraid to admit that. I'm still trying to kick it out for good but I'm doubting if a little bit. I got to a month but then I relapsed. I want to quit it entirely but it's difficult. I just want to change the way my brain thinks about it

@BigGip09 I think for me it was just relief. Trying to feel something positive for once other than all stress and anxiety. Didn't think it would cause even more in my future lol ..
@Northern_Downpour You can say that again. I don't know why but this affects my sleep the most. I just can't seem to sleep after relapsing. I'm just upset with myself but I don't want to be. I just want to be kind to myself and not be so crippled by the past
@BigGip09 Relapse is a part of recovery. I do believe that porn acts like a drug. If you need some reading material to help you kick the habit I suggest going to the fight the new drug website. It’s helped me out a lot to stay on track.
@Lassoinmybrainpls I love their website. I also follow them on Instagram. Right now I'm just trying to get my self esteem up to pretty much get the motivation to do anything.

Literally, anytime I’m about to click on a video, I always do my best to look up the actors age and when the video was made to know if they were an appropriate age at the time. It’s really stressful, it has me feeling guilty for finding people of my age attractive.
Me too, otherwise I'll get concerns about their age. It sucks so much. I just want to find people my age or people way older. This usually happens when I'm looking for fictional adult women. I click a hasg tag on Instagram and it shows something absolutely disgusting with a fictional minor. So I'm just cutting that off completely.

I thought I'd gotten over sexual obsessions, since they haven't been bothering me at all until I had a flare up yesterday. I usually struggle with masturbation due to a combination of both anorgasmia from SSRI medication along with intrusive thoughts, so I thought that an adult film should work fine and went on the hub as per usual. Everything went well until I "finished" and looked at the video title afterwards. My stomach dropped as the title had the word "teen" it in. I felt nauseous and gross because I'd previously struggled and became horrifically suicidal due to the pocd I thought I had under control. Now I know that by the word teen, it means an adult actress that's 18-19 and I'm only 20. But I can't shake the feeling that I'm gross for watching and that it was illegal material, even though I am fully aware that it wasn't, so I've been ruminating over it endlessly. This is more of a vent, but I feel like all the progress I've made with my ocd just went down the drain ☹️
TW Just saw a judge video where a girl was complaining about a mom suing her for money when her mom is her agent and gives her younger sister (at 17 years old) better work because they exploit her body and THEY SHOWED PICTURES. I saw it and was like “oh my gosh is that actually what I think it is?” Then after realizing it’s like I was too shocked to look away. What is bothersome is that I wasn’t immediately repulsed enough to turn it off and didn’t immediately do so and when the picture kept showing up it’s like I kept looking at it to make sure what I saw was actually what I saw. Also, the false memory is hitting hard because now I’m wondering if I had intrusive thoughts judging her body. Now I feel like a perv and pedo 😭 It’s like I’m anxious over not being anxious enough about the situation while actually being incredibly anxious. I don’t if that made ANY sense but someone please help. I will say my mind was already incredibly vulnerable because of burnout and other very stressful events recently. Still, I feel terrible and feel I deserve to be in jail.
I’m worried about times when Child P*rn or suspicious porn videos have come up in the past. I tend to use Twitter for porn and it’s not the most moderated app out there but I was never looking for videos or pictures or anything related to that. Unfortunately stuff still has popped up and I’m just worried about if my reaction was perfect because I have intense POCD I want to say it’s nearly as severe as it can get so I just feel as if I remember times when something suspicious came up and I stayed for a moment to make sure I wasn’t attracted or maybe left and came back to be sure I was safe and didn’t like it and I’m afraid this counts as seeking out or engaging in illegal content that would get me in trouble. I’ve never once looked this stuff up and anyone who creates saves distributed or likes this stuff I believe deserves prison time for life but I’m just so worried that I didn’t react in the way I should’ve I’m 20 years old so I’m relatively young and I’m jus worried about what this means about me any one else deal with anything similar?
