HELP IS THIS SCHIZOPHRENIA???

so I have bad schizophrenia ocd but basically my anxiety has been at an all time high and I was driving today and all the sudden the sky just freaked me out and I had a thought “the sky is falling” and it threw me into a full panic attack now I’m freaking out because technically isn’t that a delusion? Cause the sky can’t really fall but in that moment I felt like it was actually happening and I had a full blown panic attack. Is this the start to schizophrenia?

Mine makes me feel like i'll get sucked up into the most open void against my will. Used to not want to go anywhere without a parachute. Brains are weird things 🤣

No I wouldn’t say that’s schizophrenia. Anxiety can create a “dropping” feeling

I don't think it's schizophrenia. I had a phobia thing where open skies freak me out, especially when nothing was around me like trees or buildings. Fields were the worst. Get it on really open roads too. I did erp with it and it's gotten much better. I also had voices in my head previously so I've had the same scare. That wasn't schizophrenia either so don't worry 😊

@Invalid Okay thanks, yea the sky is just freaking me out a lot. I’m just a little scared though because I think I actually believed for a moment it was falling which makes me scared it’s a delusion

Look into depersonalization and derealization the sky is a big phobia for a lot of when dealing with this.

I've had moments of depersonalization so this doesn't surprise me. Sometimes I don't feel like I'm the one driving the car on the road that is my life. It felt like Ocd is behind the wheel, and I'm just sitting in the back giving directions.

@Tailor Funny thing was, through therapy, looking back at 6 month period years ago where this was every day.. I think I was in ocd remission instead of/ or had dpdr and just didn't know what life was like without it and had no idea what to do 😅 life felt like routine and my head was quiet, barely any intrusive thoughts or none at all. My life was so busy though and did t have time to think I guess. Now, I'm currently aiming for that stage again and see if I can recover further from there. Dpdr is crazy though. Definitely felt distant from everything. I could get along fine with everyone but couldn't feel a connection etc

@Invalid Agree with this! I realized my dpdr always comes with my OCD flare up. Dpdr is so weird how you can seem normal on the outside but feel like life has been turned completely upside down on the inside.

@Tailor Yes I agree, my dp dr really makes me feel like I’m getting schizophrenia. That’s my main obsession. It stems from the trauma of seeing my mom suffer from schizophrenia so I constantly think I’m getting it😭

@Anonymous I understand the worry. I had intrusive thoughts in the form of voices before and thought I may have schizophrenia. My dad and grandad had them too which was weird. They were weren't permanent for any of us though 🤷‍♂️

@Anonymous I also think teach a girl who has the exact ocd I used to have. She has voices in her head telling her to hurt her family etc. She just got diagnosed with ocd too, not schizophrenia. I'd check with a professional therapist if I were you for clarification. I wrote a post on my experience with voices if you want to read it

Physcosis ocd??

Recently ive had ocd thoughts that are really weird and make no sense (they sound like thoughts that someone would have if they were in physcosis eg. What if trump can communicate with you through your head) like what??? Sometimes it feels like i believe it??? Which stresses me out and im constantly worried that im going through physcosis since i sort of belive it? I know deep down its ridiculous but it almost feels like i believe it?? Im scared. Like sometimes im calm with the thought. Im like oh okay maybe. Then sometimes my brain tries to imagine him like talking to me through my head??? Am i going through physcosis.??

Ocd/going crazy

Hi about a week ago I found out I have ocd and chronic anxiety! I tried zoloft and it was terrible for me. I also started therapy and I take hydroxyzine but I will discuss further medication with my doctor. My question is I have a huge fear that I'm going crazy, I am crazy, or schizophrenic to the point I'm so hyper aware of my surrounding ill look out the corner of my eye to make sure I'm nit seeing anything ill make sure to double check what I'm hearing and it's so draining! I get really scared and go into a panic and cry 😅 I need some reassurance has anyone felt this way my doctor and therapist explained it to me but I'm still very scared. I feel like one day I'll have a break and I won't be the same! I tried the grounding exercise and breathing it helps temporarily. I also cut out smoking weed and none of my family has this but I feel like I have it or ill develope it even though it's rare!

Losing it maybe lols

I came across a video that was talking about a theory and it was something me and my friend were talking about 2 years ago and were tweaking about and i was explaining it to my girlfriend just now and them i started to get anxiety about stuff not being real and my world isn’t what it seems to be and that there stuff out there and then i started to have religious OCD and then it went to how Im scared of the world being fake or suffering from a mental illness like schizophrenia or something and stuff and I’ve been having OCD about my girlfriend being a government agent or that government agents are watching me cause I’m scared of schizophrenia and thinking like them i don’t think i actually think it i kinda just go to my girlfriend isn’t a government agent which scares me into thinking i was thinking she was or gonna think she is or idk if i just saying that to bot seem insane or something but like idk if i truly believe that i doubt it i don’t believe it any other time and then i started getting stress i might hurt or maybe kill her and it scares me cause shes my everything and I’m scared of losing her idk guys I’m getting stressed hella and I’m scared of myself and my OCD I’m genuinely tired of it like anyone can ask my girlfriend and she’ll say i cant go 5 mins without ticcing (from ocd) or asking for reassurance like that life is real and thats shes real and I’m real and nothings wrongs and stuff, i probably sounds crazy lmaoo maybe and the sucky thing is i don’t have a therapist or a thingy going on for me cause i don’t have a job and or insurance let alone.
