I have been feeling good but thereās a new girl that started at our job( bf and I work in the same building) and I think sheās pretty. I saw them talking and got really jealous ( they work in the same department) but I told him and he said I have nothing to worry about but I canāt stop thinking that heās cheating on me or spending time with her when he hasnāt hung out with meā¦ any tips ?!?! Hi! I have been there before, itās not fun! When these unwanted thoughts appear, challenge them w these 5 questions: 1. Is it true? 2. Is it absolutely true? 3. When you believe this thought- how does it make you feel? 4. How would you feel if you didnāt believe this thought? 5. Take the original thought, and then turn it to the opposite. Also.. put these thoughts into categories: is this an intrusive thought, or ļæ¼has he given you a reason to think this thought? Iām sorry you are thinking this. Alsoā¦ name your OCD! Mine is named Carl. Whenever I have an āocd thoughtā that I obsess overā¦ I give it a nameā¦ so then it had less power over me and I canāt identify it with myself. You got this girl! š I have been where you are.
@Ocdqween No. Hasnāt given me a reason. We havenāt been able to see each other because of his schedule m&w 7pm until 4am off Tuesday but 8 until 5. So he doesnāt really have time cuz we know how moms are and his mom is in town and we decided that we werenāt doing family right now ( my brain is convincing me that his mom isnāt in town and his cheating ) āIāve never seen them talk ever. I once saw him texting his friend ( a girl ) that used to work at our store bc theyāre friends and he said happy birthday and they were catching up but thatās all & Iām delulu so I checked social media. No new followers. We stay best friends on snap. Iām probably crazy . Thanks for the advice šš( sorry if thatās a lot)
@Ariesgirl94 Never apologize for explaining how you feel!!! And Ugh. I understand! The mind works in mysterious waysā¦ and for people like us, we sometimes have no control over that. Understanding and accepting that is the first way of experiencing growth with ocd. But when you think of these thoughts, challenge them by asking questions like ā do I have a reason to feel/think this way? Has he ever given you a reason not to trust him?ā Etc. Also, understand that thoughts like this are completely normal when youāre in a relationship. The obsessive part is what is related to the ocd. And ultimately understand that you are not your thoughts, and the majority of them are not true. Itās your way of trying to protect yourself subconsciously from getting hurt. Thank yourself for it!! ļæ¼ And your not delulu girl, ocd is just a b!tch!!!! You are so strongš¤

hi guys, iām struggling again. the other day, my bf and i went to get ice cream and there was this girl with a fat ass. i pointed it out first because like super impressive and sheās my ideal body type at the moment. (note: i get jealous and freak over girls i have jealousy to) so i was staring at him to see if he was looking at her but i couldnāt tell, he was looking in her direction but she was in the front counter. idk if he was looking at her. i brought it up and he was really sweet about it and reassured me that he didnāt and that he purposely didnāt look out of respect for me. i believe him but i have a little voice in my ear telling me heās lying and he obviously was looking. any tips on how to diminish that little voice ??
I canāt stop overthinking about my friend and her soon-to-be boyfriend , I feel like Iām jealous but not of HER, Iām jealous of HIM, like, Iāve known her for so much longer , me and her have always been closer, and this guy comes in and is gonna take up a bunch of her time. Idk, ik I shouldnāt feel this way. She reassured me she would never leave me and I guess Iām also scared of that. I had a breakup with our friend oldest bsf a couple months ago , I guess that mightāve done more damage than I thought. I feel like Iām losing myself , and then I thought I found myself again once me, my bsf , and the guy became friends , but as soon as I found oit she liked him and he liked her its like everything crashed:/// I hate feeling this way but idk what to do
Iām at a loss about what to do. Iāve been with my partner for about a year. Iāve wanted to be with him for 3 years and now I finally have him, I got out of a really toxic 11 year relationship about 4 years ago so Iāve had plenty of time to heal, things where going so great at first in our relationship and Iām still very much happy with him, I love him more than anything, but the past 5 6 months Iāve been having a constant fear that heās gonna cheat or watch š½behind my back any chance he gets , I know thatās a touchy subject for some, but me personally it just makes me feel that Iām not attractive enough,or feel like Iām not good enough, Iāve never found evidence of cheating, and Iāve found š½ in his history once but I told him how I felt and he told me he understood how I felt and wouldnāt do it again,and I know the constant asking everyday and needing for reassurance with it is putting a tear in our relationship, I just want to fix it. Does anyone have any advice on how to redirect my brain whenever I start overthinking about it when Iām not around him? It just puts so much stress on me when Iām not around him cause Iām just constantly in my head about it.
