Is it actually possible that a person can have low libido in real life/fantasies but porn still can get a reaction? I know they say porn is porn and doesn't define what you like in real life and I'm not talking about watching "gay porn" but in general.
Porn is synthetic to say it in someway, humans aren't created to be over stimulated anything that can give instant gratification whenever they want will have side effects like any other drug porn isnt the exception. Our ancestors lived life naturally and they would have intercourse certain number of times in their whole life while today we can have a ridiculous amount of sexual experiences not just in our mind but out there with tinder and such. The mind doesn't distinguish porn from reality so it takes it as a real sexual experience, abusing it eventually desensitize us to normal stimuli wire our brain to digital erotica and makes us numb to real cues. In my personal point of view porn is poison and shouldn't exist, it may be the reason for many mental diseases out there.

I'm curious where you came to your opinion on this though? Nofap and similar are not accepted by the wider sexual health scientific community afaik. Many anti porn campaigns have religious backing and bias.
@jdd I'm a free thinker and I base my reality on what I consider correct and have experienced also on logic. Hocd also isn't accepted as a mental health issue and yet we still are here discussing the subject, in my case I was once a heavy porn addict which I consider really affected me and in my experience when I was a kid I would always be interested not in women not men once, I'd be arouses by girls naturally not forcing it would say dream with them and all that. I'd see naked women instant arousal etc. Eventually once I hooked up on porn I noticed that I wouldn't be turned on easily by the usual stuff for example women at sight wouldn't do it I would need to see them naked, after years of abusing it I would only get turned on by porn and real life expire ends wasn't as appealing I would choose porn over real sex.
@jdd Jesus isn’t a religion, Jesus is truth, there’s no such thing as bias with Jesus. I understand ocd Is a serious illness. But understand that the world you live in is corrupt and not what you think.
@Grm2 HOCD is just OCD but yes I get what you mean by not a recognized mental health issue. My original question wasn't really tailored towards "heavy porn addict" but watching in general. I assume you have "porn induced HOCD" ?
@Anonymous That's neither here nor there. It's simply fact that the anti porn/sex movements are funded by church and religious affiliated groups, nothing to do with an individuals beliefs in Jesus.

@jdd Porn was created to disrupt the human experience. The more time you spend on these platforms, the worse your brain develops an illness. What do you watch and what you put in front of your eyes brings only one of two things either positive reinforcement or negative effect to your brain. The more we allow her selves to create a false persona of complacency, the worse, our brains acquire the desire to need more of it, that’s where the dopamine comes from. A lot of what OCD is is brain chemicals, being disrupted, us, realizing that neural transmitters percent off or disconnected in one form or fashion is inevitable. We all have done things that disrupt the human experience, that is why we have forms of OCD that were created from causes and effects. You watching porn or any of those platforms including social media just worsens the brains development process and healing process for further evolution.  I don’t want to create false narratives or create reassurance for anyone. But I do want people to realize that our actions play a huge role in why we have OCD symptoms in our thought process. A lot of these feelings and emotions are based off of brain chemicals. What we put in front of our eyes like porn Like experimentation, also eating fried food or unhealthy substances or drugs. Those all have a factor. I’m not trying to prove anybody wrong and I’m not trying to say that this is reassurance or that you can go looking for information to make it better. Sure don’t fall into compulsions and also don’t look for reassurance because that makes it worse. But looking for reasoning is not reassurance it’s just allowing you to understand where the brain chemicals went wrong.

@jdd My ocd isn't porn induced at all, it came after a depression where I lost interest in women and started thinking "what if I'm gay?" watched gay erotica it didnt arouse me at all but felt monstruous groinals didn't have erection either and I was fully anxious at the moment almost abscent from myself and then because of that I assumed I liked it. From then I obsessed with it and all the symptoms you already know started to happen. Anti porn movements aren't religious and if it was its only a minimum part, they're conformed by people who are struggling with its effects and that are aware now of how destructive it is, it can confuse sexuality. If nofap wasn't true then why are there so many people out there sharing same symptoms?

Hi heavy porn addict. I did pmo daily at least twice the morning was a quicker fix but still out be at minimal an hour.. at night sometimes I’d be on porn from 8-9pm all the way till 12-1 am when I stopped is when everything started changing I started questioning me sexuality. A passed gay experience popped up from when I was a kid at first all I remembered was bits off the memory. Just the fact that I did the gay act made me extremely uncomfortable and sick. But it also came from us watching porn together straight porn. As young preteen boys we wanted to know the feeling.. it was never about the guy. But this also stemmed from porn… porn and hormones together it didn’t matter if there was a hole in the wall with some lube I would have had sex with it. I say this not to reassure you or me but to prove the point that porn alters your mind. It brought back even unwanted sex memories because that’s what my brain wanted that fix of orgasm. It didn’t care where it got it from. And that caused worry will I be able to even get hard with a girl now? I’m 31.. why would my interest change because I stopped watching porn? It wouldn’t. Like any drug if you take the drug away from that person they’ll start doing things they never would of done before like stealing selling their own body etc just to get their quick fix and when they’re high wears off, they’d feel like a horrible person filled with regret and depression asking why do they keep doing this.. same with porn you remove it and your mind will try to get you to do things you normally wouldn’t just to get that quick fix
Just tired af... Anyone else feels like everything is a lie all the time and there is no "before the OCD I was boy crazy" just the OCD since forever... or denial because of that aspect? Really struggeling with the physical aspect of SOOCD : looking at a women's body and really feeling something and getting turned on and looking at a man's and not feeling anything... I just dont understand! I asked my friends and many of them said they dont feel anything looking at a man's body as well (they're straight) but also looking at a women's doesnt feel like much. I just dont understand ughhhh

Has anyone experienced where you love woman everything about them, even to the point where you still can get erections watching normal porn, lesbian porn etc. but you find your self still admiring a good looking man. I’ve went through the groinal responses when seeing a man but honestly after watching porn and realizing it’s not about sex it went away. On the other hand even when there’s a male and a female in a picture I can’t stop looking at the male and judging, but the minute they’re naked I’m fine and looking at the woman. I started watching porn at a very young age so I’m wondering do I only sexualize woman and admire the man so in everyday life I don’t see her as beautiful because she’s not naked ? I understand as a straight male I can still think guys are attractive but why do I constantly notice them more than women? I also can admire and see when a girl is beautiful in the face but then if a dude that’s more attractive than me pops up in staring at him. Has anyone experience this?
