I have been having a hard day today. I have lots of thoughts about this one girl i shortly dated because i wznted to figure out stuff ( do to party ocd). I check if i like want to marrry her or kiss her. I am newly in a relationship with a very sweet guy and i really Hate this thoughts, i think i want the relationship with this guy and i think i dont want a relationship wkth this girl but i keep checking. Maybe i am just gay
Stay strong and stay with the dude don’t let ocd fool you no I hope this don’t trigger you but have you heart of sexuality being on a spectrum and fluid ? I mean I personally don’t believe people change that is what my head is stuck on it don’t help that I have lost my attraction to women I just feel cursed but I think you will be okay how long you had ocd for ?
Almost 4 years now, it started with thinking i had feelings for my best friend which Hurt me a lot , i have had also pocd periods , it was awful, k have ended 2 relationships in the past years do to ocd and i am scared, i want to stay thus time , i am perfectly fine with maybe being bi ,i am just scared that i will not like guys anymore
@Mags2002 I know what you mean I can fully relate I am scared I will never like girls again it’s just don’t feel right
@kyle g tucker I can tell you that for me , now i feel a bit more secure, stad strong,it is just because i did kiss that girl i am scared that even when now that i want this relationship with thus guy and while i did not feel very sure about that girl while we shortly dated that i will fallus in love with her and need to end the relationship , but today i feel more secure and i will try to manage rumination better
@kyle g tucker I’m a guy also bro, and I’m getting the same thoughts. In my opinion sexuality does not change, I’ve been attracted to girls my entire life. I enjoy the thought of having sexual encounters with girls but feel icky at the thought with guys. Right now, my mind has fully convinced me that I’m gay and I can’t rest for a single second without feeling uncomfortable and anxiety. Idk what it is either I’m tripping and ocd isn’t real or I need serious help
@Anonymous I know man ocd is a thief it robs people of who they are nah I don’t think it can change at all but tbh I wouldn’t even care about the topic of it wasn’t in my head intrusive all the time I tried to watch gays kissing on you tube I was so uncomfortable and started to gag all the while my head is like I am in denial it just don’t make any sense it’s driving me mad
I am in a similar position as you, but reversed as I fear to even think about a relationship with a man. My advice is to not give up on him. I wanted to commit myself to a relationship with a very intelligent and creative girl, yet my OCD undermined every positive feelings I had for girls and I abandoned such goals. As for what you mentioned regarding the girl, I can tell from experience that OCD tries to do everything to irritate you. I had similar images about a school mate of mine.
I also had fears of being in love wirh my best friend which was very difficult as i did love my best friend z lot but not in that way , i hope we both can get better
Thank you I have been up and down with this mine started when I was at work and a guy there said he can see why gay guys are happy they don’t have women in there life and boom it started loop thoughts saying I am gay I was shocked like wah how it made me sick and still does the thought is stuck on sexuality being fluid and on a spectrum I would of never knew that if it wasn’t for having this in my head I just want old me back not being tormented by this every day I feel like a slave to this my mind is like come out and be gay and this will all go away I know that isn’t going to be the case because that isn’t for me and never has been I never thought or cared about this into I heard what I did that night at work
@kyle g tucker That’s literally same as me. It makes me feel like I’m in denial and I’ve always been gy and TBAG if I accept it it would all go away but I know I ain’t that

Yes it starts everyday when i wake up, it can get better throughout the day but mornings are the most difficult
@Mags2002 Literally same here. I’m a guy and I’ve been in 3 rs happily. I don’t think someone who’s hit puberty and been attracted to girls can go gay or same wirh girls, if they’ve hit puberty and been attracted to guys they can’t go gay

Wow I thought it was just me man yeah I feel the longer this lingers about the harder it get but we can beat this crap man now I don’t have anything against gay people how ever the world just lately is gone mad is it just me ?
My initial thoughts are not as scary bc I’ve been doing erp. For example, when an initial thought comes across I don’t go into panic mode, instead when the thought comes across I tell myself “maybe yes maybe no” and I feel better. But the thing that is getting to me is that the next thought is usually “did you just suppress a gay thought” and that makes me go into panic mode. And I feel bad because I’m like damn if I am suppressing these thoughts that would be sad like why cant i just decide on one so that I could be happy. You know? And I didn’t have these thoughts before. It’s so annoying because I constantly feel like what if I’m in denial. And it makes me question whether I’m happy with or attracted to my boyfriend. I want to be happy so I’m like do I leave him and maybe date women, but then Im like oh no i don’t want to do that I want to be with him and be happy with him. Anyone going through something similar?
Not officially diagnosed with OCD, but will I ever get over this or is it just a part of my life now. Have been constantly having thoughts every single day for almost a year it feels like. There has barely been times where I’m not thinking “I’m gay” or having it in the back of my mind. This just brings extreme guilt as I’m in a relationship. Not sure what to do. Everything from my past is proof. This morning I was just bombarded with “ I’m gay” “im gay”
I developed a crush for this girl and it feels great. But ya know, OCD did its thing and makes me feel like I don't really like her and that I like guys. It drives me absolutely mad. I even went to the gym today (which I have been avoiding) and one of the front desk guys was id say good looking and my OCD ran with that and told me I like guys and all the what if questions came roaring in. It feels really provocative to think persons of the same sex are good looking. It feels like anytime I look at a guy, my OCD tells me"oh look! you noticed him, how come you're not noticing the women?, you're gay." I get so many intrusive thoughts about any guy I look at and It feels so real. I feel defeated today. If anybody can relate, I'd like to hear.
