I have a question. Would hocd trigger if someone said somin bad abt gays. I’m not gay at all but I get intrusive thoughts abt it and it’s ruining my day. But if someone says somin bad abt gay ppl why does that trigger me. It’s like my thoughts say to me “oh look ur gay they don’t like u, they will hate u.” Idk does anyone else go through this ?
I understand you. I think it’s cause you’re just paying extra attention to it because of your ocd. I had the same problem man until eventually it passed
@Bbogdan Or like if u notice other ppl are straight and ur thoughts say to u they are straight ur gay ur not the same as them. These thoughts jus distress me even more cuz I know ocd is a doubting disorder but I was so happy before this happened. It’s the second time this has happened but there was a 2 year gap in between where I was happy into girls and loved life so much
@Anonymous Exactly the same for me man. I had it for a period in 2019 and now I’ve had it again since May 2023. But knowing that you already conquered it and you know your true self was during the period where you were ocd free, it should make you more confident that you will beat this and this is just like a mental barrier you have to deal with for a while.
@Bbogdan I’ve had it since august 2023 and my sex drive now has been completely destroyed 😭 I only get it in the mornings that it. I know my true self I do hope we both can overcome this my brother. Hang in there gang. Have u been diagnosed my bro?

@Bbogdan Yh I’ve been told I have ocd by the specialist and they will forward my symptoms over to the gp to diagnose me. It’s like sometimes I have this 5 minhte relief where I can think abt my girlfriend. Now I’m scared that I can’t get it up with her because of ocd. Any suggestions ?
@Anonymous Honestly I’m not a specialist hahah but from my experience: at first it was the only thing I’d think about and genuinely could not do some activities because it would trigger my anxiety. But then I started challenging myself and started going out more and although it would trigger my anxiety I would ig “train” myself to not respond and give in to the ocd. Overtime I stated having less intrusive thoughts and could enjoy life more. Also talking to someone about it, while also not over sharing. This is probably rlly bad advice sorry 😭
@Bbogdan Nah nah I feel u bro. I honestly stopped going gym, meeting up w the boys because of this. Now I’m jus agreeing w the thought and leaving it to uncertainty. Whilst I’m getting sessions w a specialist to manage intrusive thoughts. I jus want my sex drive back😭. U say u strted enjoying life, did u get back into it with girls or jus avoid it?
@Anonymous Bro exactly the same w me. I stopped going gym for a while and was anxious to meet up w my friends. I slightly started getting my sex drive back girls yeah but am still quite anxious to start dating one atm, just because I think it would trigger my ocd and I wouldn’t feel like myself if that makes sense.
Yes. Even without OCD, it is natural to get upset and uncomfortable about discrimination. your OCD is sticking to that uncomfortable-ness. Perhaps your core fear is being hated by people?
@Caesarsalad No because before I never rlly cared. But now it’s like my fear is I lose everything. I jus wanna be the old me. I want to love my girlfriend like I used to. I leave it to uncertainty but it jus doesn’t go away. Even if I accept that I am. I feel discomfort because I know I’m not . How do I escape this?
So with my theme of ocd, ( hocd ) I get persistent intrusive images, and thoughts. It’s not like one or two a day. Like if I’m out for the whole day they’re constant. I feel I can’t even look at a girl now without her intrusive thoughts about her or about me fancying her and even sexual intrusive thoughts.. It’s awful. It’s everywhere I look. Is this common with ocd with any themes? Like is it constant for you guys too?
Like I can’t think straight. This is making me doubt everything I’ve thought about myself and even makes me feel like I like the thoughts when I know I don’t. Like I would be less anxious at a time while I still have the thoughts and my mind would go “oh so you like it you must be gay” or the other one where I’m not anxious and I think of my attraction for girls that I’ve had my whole life and my mind goes “see now you’re not into them you’re gay” like it’s so stupid but so effective. I clearly remember being into girls my whole life but my mind is making me believe that all these attractions and feelings for women were all fake or “a thing of the past”. But I can still get aroused by women but I have this weird anxiety going on which brings these sensations/feelings and it’s so weird. Today I’ve spent my whole day thinking about it like I’ve been doing for 5 months now. I know that this aint normal but my mind just won’t let me live in peace. I never cared about my sexuality cuz I simply liked women my whole life but now my sexuality is a fundamental philosophy. I hate this.
How do you deal with pocd. I mean...things that trigger you.For example someone said something really really disturbing on tik tok.And I am scared.I am scared this triggered me in the first place.Like what does it mean abt me? And I wont say what they said because is disgusting.I am scared I am a bad person and a disgusting......I am scared to go outside ( i am scared i am a...p) .And bcs of people who think like that.I am I am like them.Any advice?
