Part of the recovery is having reduced anxiety but still having the thoughts. It just means your brain isn't exactly that used yet to just letting go of the thoughts, especially that you've made a habit of thinking about these thoughts and performing compulsions. But continuing what you're doing, no matter how hard the doubt tries to get to you, is what I find helpful. I can see you're doing your best, with seeking help from other people, taking meds, and trying to confide in people who could possibly offer help. You can do this :)

The same thing happen to me when I started medication. Everything got way way worse but it slowly started getting better over time. Am finally starting to feel like myself again. Just don’t give up, keep moving forward.

Thank you all so much. Your words are all so kind and supportive. They give me hope and determination. This is a really weird thing to be experiencing but it just goes to show how unique the mind is

Same here! I’ve got pretty strong meds and I can’t tell you how upset I got when I had my intrusive thoughts but not the mind numbing panic that came with them, made me feel like they’re real and it’s still the same now, I have to remember that I’m taking stuff that stops my physical reactions and that’s why I’m not getting wound up by my thoughts as much

I can relate! My medication has stopped my anxiousness but the thoughts are still there it’s very strange. I think we just need time.

I hope so! My partner is the first person I’ve felt really cares and treats me properly. He’s everything I’ve ever looked for in someone and I’d hate to chuck it away but I feel so unsure and confused. But thank you, hopefully time will tell.
