Can you have OLD and ROCD at the same time?

@Anonymous Thank you I think I’m struggling with the ROCD part but then somethings telling me I’m not and i don’t know if that’s the ROCD telling me that I’m not as a counter but all my thoughts are just some tug of war at the moment and a part of this is telling me that I was never in love in the first place just obsessed with the idea

@110804 Yeah, I know it can get pretty confusing. I've been there, in a tug of war of thoughts. And it's not uncommon for people to have obsessions that they might not have OCD, or something of the like

@Anonymous Yea for me if I had to sum up my problem I was in love with someone pretty instantly after meeting them and then when we became official last Thursday I didn’t get the feeling of happiness as I thought I would and that really played on my mind and the pain became worse as the few days went on from just momentary thoughts to me being sat there with my gut having a sinking feeling telling me I’m not in love but even after breaking up a few days later I still crave this persons company she hasn’t spoken to me since but I miss her although whilst typing that my stomach just gave that sinking feeling again to tell me no in that sense but why do I keep getting that I was so in love with her now somethings not letting me but then my mind is saying I was just in love with the idea of love also this is nothing on her end it was all my thoughts taking over

@110804 I'm wondering if you are in therapy or if that is possible for you? I obviously couldn't know your situation better than you. I know it's confusing, and it might be confusing for a while. You may never know for sure. I get really confused about some stuff too, so you're not alone there. And I'm sorry about all that, I know it's hard. And in case this matters, I'll add that I've never had a girlfriend.

@Anonymous This has all happened to me recently I think being in a relationship opened up a can of worms I’ve always had just hidden from but I’m trying to go down the therapy route I’m from the uk so there’s a free way of doing it but I have a scheduled phone call in 4 weeks with a doctor who then will put me on what will likely be a long waiting list for help so yea

@110804 Sorry. I know the wait can be difficult and long. I find it best to get the ball moving on these things the sooner the better. In the meantime, I would recommend doing what you can for yourself. Also, I myself have some struggles that have to do with relationships, so I know these things can be difficult

@Anonymous Yea I’m trying to make things happen for myself in the meantime I’ve also got a lot of depression and anxiety with this too so I’m just working on keeping busy at the moment I’m at my worst when I’m alone in my bedroom not talking to anyone when I’m alone with my thoughts

@Anonymous I’m trying but this is so hard at the moment I just want this constant battle in my head to stop why is it causing so much anxiety and depression too like I am officially no longer with this girl but I miss her so much too but my body isn’t letting me express the feeling of love too I feel trapped in a cycle I want to talk to her but she won’t respond at the moment becasuse I’ve really hurt her with all this
