So now I’m stuck again “ The guy said this and now im scared my mind tells me like im attracted for sure but just in denial
Bro trust me NEVER go on Quora, Reddit or gutefrage.net or other random websites if you suffer from ocd. These people don’t know sh. Had sb tell me I neither suffered from p3dophelia nor pocd and am just „simply growing up and need to stop worrying“. These people all throw random stuff on the table and act like they are some majors in psychology. Plus maybe he worded it wrong. Plus I’ve never seen a gay person say they wanna be straight, they just don’t want to be rejected by society. They want to live a gay life just without any public consequences.

@Anonymo12 I know those feelings too sadly. It’s your brain giving you false ideas because you’re so hyper focused on it. For example ever since I found out abt asmr being a f3tish thing I‘ve decided to stop watching it and yesterday while trying to fall asleep my brain kept being like „Bro just watch it… watch asmr.. maybe you should watch asmr…“ and since obviously that’s what I was focusing on it scared me and so my brain kept on doing that. Your brain will always give you false ideas. Often because it knows you’re scared of that and it will bother you until you’re completely rid of the problem. Like for me this was unfollowing all the asmr accounts I’d followed so that „I’d never watch it again“. Don’t listen to these thoughts. Often for me it’s also things like „‚maybe I should do that“, for example (it’s okay to laugh now) I suffer from contamination ocd about accidentally littering myself or 💩 myself and so my brain kept acting like I should just do so one time to know what it feels like. Obviously that would’ve been absolutely f disgusting so I of course never did that bullshit. Don’t listen to it. Those thoughts are what makes ocd feel soooo real.
@m1ch3ll3 But bro some people with hocd are also scared of being rejected by society in more of a hypothetical way like if their fears are true they will be rejected or that they are only not accepting being gay because of society

@Anonymous Oohhh no I didn’t mean it in the fear of being one and then getting rejected of society. I mean gay people are scared of showing that they’re gay due to public discrimination. They don’t fear being gay at all. I mean it’s their sexuality they wanna be themselves and live their lives like this. I know a few gay people and none of them has ever said anything about being scared of being gay. I mean it’s sth you slowly discover and then you feel fulfilled with your life because you find out who exactly you are. If you fear this like crazy you’re most def not gay. Like I personally can relate to the fear of being gay because I don’t want to life like this but any gay person will not relate to this. Gay people don’t fear this. It’s sth nice for them. In fact when I was 13 I identified as bisexual. I NEVER was scared of being this way. Don’t worry bro I really really don’t think you’re gay, you need therapy and need to face your fears. I‘ve been there and it sucks!! But you need to stop googeling and researching - focus only on OCD recovery, that was my first step towards recovery.

@Anonymous - It feels like I am my old self again - but be careful what you wish for, OCD can switch themes (and the current one is always the worst)... you have to really understand this condition and have strategies to keep it at bay.
Today I feel like I want to do things with guys and it’s scaring me. I don’t wanna do anything with a guy. It’s making it seem normal to me but my normality is straight. I hate this .
Like I can’t think straight. This is making me doubt everything I’ve thought about myself and even makes me feel like I like the thoughts when I know I don’t. Like I would be less anxious at a time while I still have the thoughts and my mind would go “oh so you like it you must be gay” or the other one where I’m not anxious and I think of my attraction for girls that I’ve had my whole life and my mind goes “see now you’re not into them you’re gay” like it’s so stupid but so effective. I clearly remember being into girls my whole life but my mind is making me believe that all these attractions and feelings for women were all fake or “a thing of the past”. But I can still get aroused by women but I have this weird anxiety going on which brings these sensations/feelings and it’s so weird. Today I’ve spent my whole day thinking about it like I’ve been doing for 5 months now. I know that this aint normal but my mind just won’t let me live in peace. I never cared about my sexuality cuz I simply liked women my whole life but now my sexuality is a fundamental philosophy. I hate this.
I’m trying to live with uncertainty but it doesn’t feel right. The “I may or may not be bi/gay” really sucks because I can’t stop ruminating, analyzing, or checking. This especially sucks because I feel like literally EVERYTHING in my life leads to the fact that I’m a fraud which feels horrible. I can’t even talk to my friends the way I used to without feeling like I’m lying about myself. The false attraction and loss of attraction to men is literally horrible because now I feel like the life i fantasized for myself isn’t something I want.
i had recently been triggered to have so-ocd. its been on my mind non-stop. (i am a heterosexual female) and my mind has been all over the place questioning if i have been in denial the entire time. ive always had people tell me they sort of got that vibe it it never really affected me until my own mother had her suspicions. so i would constantly get triggered un public around the same gender, while knowing my true sexuality. ive always been attracted to men but as of recently ive been having super bad anxiety to where i cannot eat or sleep and feel weak all the time. it was like that for a week or so. now im in the calm where i have been trying accept the uncertainty but it still isnt fair as im getting triggered. im a little worried because it feels like i have been lying to my parents the entire time although ive never had the desire to be with the same gender. and i keep getting intrusive thoguhts that make me feel anxious and uncomfortable. its all starting to affect my friendships as im constantly getting triggered with the intrusive thoguhts. i feel a little less anxious compared to how i was a couple days ago. im really scared on why im having these thoughts now when i have been having romantic feelings for a guy the past year or so. ive also been struggling with false attraction and loss attraction to men. it makes me feel uncertain of my life the entire time
