Harm ocd is no joke :( It can feel as real as it gets. Remember thoughts are just thoughts with no need for any action, including mental action like rumination or trying to find meaning. Just make sure your psychiatrist specializes in ocd! You are greater than your thoughts!

You don't like the thoughts, they agonize you and you most likely ruminate and practice avoidance, two major compulsions. It's OCD.

If a friend was experiencing the same things as you describe what would you tell him? The thoughts get loud and intense the more you struggle to get rid of them. Congrats for meeting a therapist next week, I hope it's a therapist with knowledge about OCD. And remember "I feel like" isn't the same things as facts.
