My OCD like tricks me in to thinking like do I actually want to do that? Also it’s more of like “just freaking do it already” so here is something that has helped me. We all have a million thoughts a day, so just let the thoughts happen and then just say I’m having this thought again….so what’s new. Because if we give the thought our energy and anxiety they continue to get worse! You have got this!

You can do this! I have suffered from harm ocd for awhile and I almost felt like my body was ready to do what my brain was thinking and it scared me so much! I’m a mom! I thought my brain would never have these thoughts but the min we react the min we give the ocd the power! WE WILL NEVER ACT ON THESE THOUGHTS! We care way too much about people that’s why we even have the thoughts because it goes against what we believe in! If you ever need to talk on the phone let me know :)

Thanks! But I honestly want to talk to someone but the thoughts are extreme and I don't want them to think I'm gonna do them.

@absterdoodle Hi i’m sorry for asking but im having trouble with my ocd and idk who to talk to, my mind is making me feel so worried and everything feels fake, intrusive thoughts telling me that “morals is a made up concept” and convincing me im gonna start believing it. Idk what to do and it feels like the only way to not believe it is to prove myself wrong but i’ve done that a million times and i still feel scared.. Im only 14 and i got OCD when i was like 12 and i haven’t ever dealt with something like this so im kinda confused and nobody understands what im going through 😭 Srry for bothering btw i just need some advice

You are not alone❤️ I also have harm ocd, though with time the mind gets trained that those thoughts are just in the mind.. set time away from them by reading doing a sport video or listen to music or rain sounds it does help alot.

@cynthiav <3 Just know, you’re not psychotic, you’re not gonna end up doing those things, they have study, saying that people with OCD are less likely to hurt anyone ever. Our brains are just seriously out of whack. You can always talk to your doctor about it because I promise you they have heard it, and if they haven’t then they obviously haven’t studied enough. Lol you are not sick you are not twisted. There’s nothing wrong with you. It is our brains playing a trick on us. You will not start believing it and you will not act on these thoughts, that’s what they are their thoughts, and we control our body. But we can’t control what comes in our brain no one can so what we have to do is feel the feeling and do nothing about it. Just sit there in that pain and soon it will go away. There’s also medication to help with OCD just know this will go away.
