Why am I noticing alot more handsome men? Is it my insecurities? I've noticed I have no desire to have sex and I've asked my girlfriend what she thinks and she said it's normal because she finds her friends pretty and beautiful but even then finding another man handsome is extremely uncomfortable and makes me feel bisexual. it's causing me alot of anxiety and discomfort right now ):
You’re noticing more men because you’ve given OCD the chance to direct your attention to thoughts about being a different orientation than straight. I struggle with this too and I find myself wanting to look away anytime i see a guy on tv. It makes me feel uncomfortable to think a man looks nice or handsome and let that be normal.
It’s totally normal to start noticing much more of something you’re worried about/ thinking of often, but definitely does not indicate your sexual preference. It is just the natural tendency of our brain to highlight and recognise things more if we have a preoccupation with them for instance if I think about wether I want a new yellow car, yellow cars will start showing up everywhere because I’m naturally more aware of them. So now it's switched to sending me images of women either doing graphic sexual acts on each other, or doing them on me! (Followed by a groinal response). The content is starting to bother me less, but the sensations I get after these thoughts (grounal), is what worries me?! I have never had a desire to "experiment" with woman because women are only aesthetically attractive to ME, its never really been sexual. So WHY do I keep sexualizing random women on the street?! On top of this, I feel like I've been noticing men less since this started about a year ago.
I get turned on by seeing womens bodies in a way that I dont by men’s. But at the same time I think some male features are attractive and I like my bf’s body. With men its more about the vibe Some people can say maybe im more demisexual with men. Or that its okay to feel attraction to both genders in different ways. Or some could still think im a lesbian with comphet (maybe half true, but I have felt genuine attraction to bf before) I guess its my ocd that makes this feel urgent enough to end things with my partner. Because I feel uncertain and want the certainty, and to not waste any of his time. I just wish I understood myself better.
Hello, I’m 22F. I have always had crushes on men and have dated men. I never really CARED for sex much but I would still do it. I watch lesbian porn or anything that stimulates the girl more/ what I would enjoy. I fantasize about getting with a girl/ wanting to do things with a girl because of how good it would feel. However, I’ve been in a relationship with a guy for 2 years. Before him, I used to really like another guy. I can’t differentiate between whether I am lesbian, BI, or just straight with normal fantasies. I can’t think/ imagine myself in a relationship with a girl but I guess it wouldn’t be bad to get with a girl at the same time. Sex is just sex. However, I started having obsessive thoughts about my sexuality 2 years ago since then I’ve been diagnosed with health anxiety also. I don’t know, could it be that I’m just not that into my current boyfriend that it makes me question my sexuality? Is it it possible that he might not be so attractive to me that it makes me feel / think what if I am not straight? How can you differentiate between intrusive OCE or the reality / truth of something?? I don’t recall ever having a crush on a girl but I still see certain men and acknowledge how good looking they are and imagine being with them.
