This was definitely one of mine! Never truly realized it because the “checking “ was such an obvious, disruptive compulsion. It’s great you recognize it❤️. Now I will note that I’m feeling the urge to eat, I will notice if I actually feel hungry, and then I will usually say to myself I will grab some food in a few minutes if I’m truly hungry.

Hi there. I'm plugging an app called "unstuck." When it comes to my compulsions, it has helped me manage it. It helps me get out my anxiety and as well as peace of mind even just for a while. My OCD keeps flaring up most especially at night when everything's too quiet and dark. That's when my compulsions usually arise. If you check it and try it out, I hope it will be as helpful as it was to me. It's been really life-changing for me to be honest.

How can you do that with mental compulsions like arguing with yourself in your mind, trying to make it go away etc?
Hey y’all I am struggling a bit with the concept of sitting with anxiety - what is the difference between sitting with anxiety and actually just avoiding taking responsibility for self care / coping? Any thoughts would be helpful
How do I sit with uncertainty?? Like I understand that I should just let the thoughts be there and not do a compulsion, but HOW? I would appreciate any tips
