I Miss The Old Me :(

@David Trejo My question to you David. I’m a big believer in god or at least I was before this all happened. I feel I’ve lost that faith I used to have. Do you have any words of wisdom I really used to think everything happened for a reason but I don’t see a purpose behind this.

@Drusch Yeah it took me a little while to wrap my mind around this too…. I have four kids and a very cool wife. And out of no where I got struck with this torment. Everyday and counting…….God why???? I thought maybe it was something I did I. The past, maybe it’s my fault, is it from drug use? Did someone cast a spell on me? Am I possessed? Or am I just loosing my mind. I got numb towards my family that I loved dearly, I lost motivation and felt stuck. I would get suicidal thoughts and scenarios would play out over and over and over. But one day I asked myself why not me? People face trouble all over the world, Jesus got persecuted and crucified at our expense! He didn’t have to take up the cross. So what makes me extra special that I can’t face a mental illness, or a cancer or a worst situation….. I gave up trying to find “the reason “ and started trusting God, ok Lord your with me through the good now please be with me through the bad and unknown. Life brings challenges, obstacles and it can be very hard to face but know you don’t have to face them alone. Lean on God and fill him in on your every thought and struggle. He hears you and will guide you as you trust him!🙌🏽🙏🏽✊🏽

@David Trejo Sorry to impose myself on this but I also have a perspective. I am not really a sticky Catholic but I was raised in the religion and along the way I lost my faith a bit also. But since then I have thought about a lot of things. I hate the saying god has a plan, I feel like it is condescending towards suffering. What I believe is that god is good ya know? I just think he is a cool guy up in the clouds trying to have a good time and spread as much love as possible. He is there to support you and guide you to also spread love. He is the good and the happiness you see everyday in hard times. I don’t think he purposely made us this way, I think it happens for a reason idk, but god is there to support you through it. You will be okay. You will find happiness, love and peace is worth the fight I promise you. You are worthy of love. And remember gods favorite people were the sinners as they are the most strong and hardworking. Not that you have sinned but if u believe you have faults or have guilt in relation to you losing faith just remember that god doesn’t care. He loves you and he understands. This is all coming from someone who has a very personalized faith. I believe it is something to create on your own. I mean it is a separate relationship, you have to make it your own. Just do what you can, one day at a time

@Drusch I've thought this to and am currently going through the same thing for the past few months, this has been the main thing that has really been sticking out and bugging me.

@JessIsConfused Thank you, I just read this, and it made me feel alot better about my thoughts and feelings, like maybe I'm not worth God's time because there is so much other bad stuff going in the world, I feel guilty for even praying sometimes asking him to help me get through this, but I want to be a better person for myself and my family, and thats all I want is just be able to handle this and be the best person I can be.

@Cassi logreco @cassi logreco God sees the value in all of us even when we have a hard time seeing it ourselves he died for all so that we can have salvation. He didn’t pick one over the other and never stop asking him to guide you protect you to help you it does not matter the Bible says for us to pray about all things, always, and to pray without seizing , so what I do is, I hold God accountable to what the word says because he does not go against his word, and that has given me a lot of confidence and trust knowing that I am praying and speaking to the Lord with confidence I hope this helps you out a little bitstay strong you are valued
