Lately Ive been having blasphemous intrusive thoughts I wonder if God knows about my OCD and that I would never willingly think these things I'm constantly asking for forgiveness and sometimes I feel like I go searching for these thoughts just to have something to obsess over Uuuuugh!!
The fact that these intrusive thoughts upset you proves that they are not from you. Treat the thoughts as outside construction noise and disregard ignore the thoughts. God is loving and compassionate and understanding of OCD. God has already finished salvation for you and holds you in the palm of His hand. Nothing can separate you from God.

I used to have blasphemous thoughts every waking moment of the day. I thought I was the only person who experienced this. And then I read the book ācan Christianity cure obsessive compulsive disorderā by Dr. Ian Osborne. In this book, I learned that blasphemous thoughts against God are actually super common. In fact, everyone I know who has religious OCD, who is a Christian, has had blasphemous thoughts. ļæ¼ What is really important for you to understand is that blasphemous thoughts are JUST the same as any other type of intrusive thoughts that the OCD will bring to mind. Intrusive thoughts, such as harm thoughts, or contamination thoughts, or sexual or violent thoughts (or blasphemous thoughts) are all just part of OCD. They donāt mean anything. They donāt mean anything about us. And they donāt have power to change anything in our lives. What I have learned is that God DOES NOT CARE if any of those thoughts are in your head at all. They are not actually sinful or meaningful or anything. They really just donāt mean anything. ļæ¼ So, in order for you to get better, you will most likely need to practice ERP. A good therapist can help you. The main idea behind ERP is to allow yourself to think the thoughts and not try to fight them off. You can even think the thoughts on purpose. And then you resist trying to do anything in your life that would āfixā the thoughts. These are the compulsions we try to do to mitigate the anxiety we have over having the thoughts. You are experiencing a very normal, classic form of OCD. Good therapists should understand this completely and help you overcome this. (But itās very important to get a therapist who is trained in ERP therapy.)
Everytime before I used to masturbate or when i have sex my compulsion is telling God that if anything crosses my mind he knows its not me so I ask for forgiveness in case intrusive thoughts pop in but even then I end up feeling so guilty when they do because I confuse the fact that I'm trying to ignore the thoughts coming at me with encouraging ?
I'm religious, so anyone else who is religious I need to know if this happens to y'all. When I read the Bible, which I want to do twice a day, I feel like I have to reread and reread stuff bc if I didn't comprehend it properly, something bad would happen, or my fears would come true. I also have intrusive thoughts that come into my head about what I'm reading and the thoughts will say something bad about the Bible or about God, and it's like I know God knows I didn't say it but I have to "undo" the thought by getting up out of my seat completely, and saying something that "undoes" it then I can sit back down and read. Sometimes I also shake my head or hit myself in the head trying to rid of the thought. And say "no, no, of course not" and stuff like that trying to undo the thought that intruded...
Has anyone had intrusive thoughts triggered from emotions such as frustration? When I start to get irritated or frustrated I get blasphemous intrusive thoughts. It makes me more distressed and panicked when the intrusive thoughts occur with that emotion vs just random.
