DO YOU HAVE INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS ABOUT CERTAIN PEOPLE? Like, a specifical person that annoys you more than the others that show in your intrusive thoughts. Because of that, it feels as if I actually were attracted to that person, I can't take this.

@suspectedocd3!!R - It’s like it makes me feel like I want to be in bed with her and would be happy with it. Because we’re close friends and she’s into girls. We’re so similar and on the same wavelength so it feels like I’d be comfortable in bed with her and that I want her in bed when I don’t. And it feels like I’ve never felt that towards guys, just romantic so I get scared that I want women sexually and romantically. It’s just this inescapable thought that she is “the one” and now I feel uncomfortable with men which kills lol.
Yes. It feels very real, but then it latches onto another person and suddenly the previous obsession is like totally gone and does not scare one bit anymore. This is so peculiar of ocd and is proof of it being ocd. But of course when it's almost 24/7 and really bad it's excruciatingly painful and very hard to ignore and treat as symptom as it should be.

100 percent. Usually people I didn't know before this all started. Or people I kind of knew for 2 years and then one day completely triggered by them. Hope that helps. I know we aren't supposed to reassure, but it is nice to not feel so alone.

Hi everyone, I just have a quick question. Can intrusive thoughts latch onto actual people. I notice when I don’t engage in my usual themed obsessions I get new on (with the same theme) but different people. It’s out of the blue too, and that’s why I think I react so much. How can I respond to these thoughts?
Does anyone also get intrusive Thoughts that are targeted to one person. I’m having intrusive thoughts of harming my mom. I definitely don’t want to but the thought kind of just sits in my head all day. Any tips?
