Sometimes even tho I know God loves me and will forgive me of all my sins I question whether or not I’ve “messed up too bad this time” every time I ask for forgiveness and it genuinely makes me sick to my stomach… I’m so scared one day He’ll decide that I’ve made too many purposeful mistakes and stop forgiving me
hello! I just want to let you know that God has already paid the price for our sins when died for us! He died so that we can go to heaven and be saved. The love that he has for you is bigger than we can ever imagine. He loves you way too much to just give up on you. He is a merciful and loving God and He forgives you! You should not approach your journey with Jesus with shame because we are imperfect humans trying to build a relationship with a perfect God so there will be mistakes along the way! This journey is not meant to be perfect. Please do not beat yourself up when you sin. You belong to Jesus as long as long as you accept him as your Lord and savior. Romans 8:1 NLT reads “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.” You belong to Him, so He will not suddenly give up on you and decide that you’ve sinned too much and made too many mistakes because that’s not the kind of God He is. He’s the kind of God that will push you to become the best version of yourself and show you how much He loves you. Please do not be ashamed to ask for forgiveness. That shame is not from the Lord. You have not “messed up too bad.” He’s always there with open arms waiting for you to talk to him. Don’t let the devil overwhelm you with shame and keep you from God!

There is no limit to gods grace and forgiveness. “Ask and you shall receive” “fear not for I am with you” “fear not for I will never leave you or forsake you”

I like to think of it this way. God is infinitely powerful. Compared to Him and His love we are no match at all. So the worst I could ever do is nothing compared to His grace. Growing in grace and understanding His grace is such a foreign feeling to us….like the same feeling someone gets when they move to a new country. Everything is new - the food, the clothes, the driving….it takes getting used to. Same with walking in grace. I wrote a book you may like, and touch on this subject. Does anyone out there obsess about sins and if you’ve committed sin? And get bad thoughts in your head that could become sinful if you don’t blink really hard or repeat things to yourself ? It gets to a point where I cry and cry about it cause I can’t see anything clearly. I’m always questioning.
I made a huge mistake in the past. Going into it I didn't know at the time how bad the mistake was until a long time later. I so badly wish I could go back and fix it and change it. I hate myself and I feel like I deserve to die. I talked to my parents about it and they told me that I need to just let it go and stop beating myself up and that I've punished myself enough but I can't seem to shake it off and move on. I'm a Christian so I do believe Jesus died on the cross for our sins but why do I feel so bad. I feel so guilty. I would NEVER make the same mistake again knowing what I know now. Do I deserve a second chance? Is it possible that OCD can make it worse than it actually is? I need help 😭
I think I commited the worst sin. I had no bad intentions but then I realized I might have thought something bad. I'm so scared and I don't know if I'm forgiven. I'm trying not to replay what happened in my head but it's so hard and I'm so scared.
