None of us ever know if we're making "the right choice" - And honestly, there's likely so such thing! I say, embrace your values and move forward making the decisions that they want you to make, rather than fear. Trust that you can deal with anything that comes your way, because you can!

Did you tell her you want to get married? If you never said those words, you’re off the hook. If you said those words, you need to have a conversation and your conscience will suddenly clear up. If she’s really the right woman for you, she will respond with understanding not anger. That might be how you know. But if you already talked up marriage in the past, then she has a right to be upset for being misled but how she expresses this is also going to give you a lot of info. Because if you were to get married, you are inevitably going to disappoint each other in the future as all people do… but it’s how people handle that disappointment that really is make/break as far as commitment goes. So don’t be afraid to take honest risks like that (communicating how you feel, even if you aren’t sure what that is or what you even want). Even if she has a poor reaction. Sometimes it’s the reaction that tells us what we really needed confirmation of. Don’t let anyone pressure you.
