About some Psychologists that don't think hocd Is a real thing and it's internalized homophobia and that Psychologists Who says it's hocd they're just trying to use conversion therapy. I'm panicking right now.
The “cure” to hocd is literally accepting that the thoughts might be true. Which is not conversion therapy at all, actually the opposite. Remember that the internet is a place where anyone can post anything and any opinions they have.
There are a lot people even health Care professionals do not understand mental health issues like ocd. Lot of mental professionals are stating to understand ocd better and how ocd can have many themes but some people Still think ocd is just germ and order themes only and do not understand pure ocd. It is sad some mental health professionals don’t know ocd if even though it is very common mental health disorder. I for a long time thought pure ocd was rare and only a a-couple people with ocd had it but I have learned I was very wrong and pure ocd may be more common then germ or Order ocd and people are just afraid to talk about it or be judged for it.I hide the fact I had mental health issues for I long time out of fear to get help , it is sad that peaple with pure ocd feel afraid to get help.
Those “psychological “ is just trashy bullies telling peaple with a fear disorder that the irrational fear are ture or that their disorder is unreal when ocd as been around for a long time and alot of ocd has to do with fears about things. How do you call your self a psychologist and not know what ocd is. Thats like a heart doctor rejecting a common heart illness and tell a patient their heart is untreatable when it is. Just massed up.
I think I did something I shouldnt have... I reasearched comphet on tiktok and saw a video of a girl explaining how she realised that first she wasnt bi and then she was a lesbian. She was talking all about how when she was with men she was craving "male validation" and wasnt actually attracted to men and that she confused platonnic and romantic love. and that whe she really thought about she realised that she loved being loved and desired by men but that she didnt specifically like men or wasnt attracted to men. She just found them attractive and was not attracted. And that when she broke up with her bf and stop dating man she realised how much more she could feel and how thinking about men gave her the ic. And I real all the comments and everyone was like omg omg omg. Anyways im sooo triggered because I feel like I could relate on some level. Im not sure if I like my bf for who he is or that i love how he loves me. And at first I used to calm my OCD by saying noo noo I love how he loves me but if I imagine breaking up with him it feels like it will be my last time with a men... what is happenning!!!
Does anyone with so ocd get scared or feel like they r just going to suddenly realise they r gay. Like all of a sudden you’ll be like omg I’m gay and then I get scared like ong it’s happening to me Can any relate to this
Ok so I’m a 17 year old female, and I’ve always thought I was straight. But I just really want to know how you would know the difference between so-ocd and actually questioning your sexuality. I have nothing against the LGBTQ community (in fact I am very much a token straight friend, lol) but I saw a video about comp-het recently and it sort of felt like what I was experiencing. I don’t want to be gay, I want to be with men, I want to like men, I’ve always liked men, but now I’m questioning whether or not that’s real? Because people can be gay but not want to be right? I’m single and I always have been. I think women are gorgeous, but when I try to imagine actually having any sort of romantic or sexual relationship with a woman it feels wrong, at least most of the time it does? Sometimes I’m less sure, and I’ve never been particularly boy crazy. I’ve liked maybe 2 or 3 people in my life, (not to say I’ve never found other guys attractive, but it doesn’t seem to be as often as most people) I have no particular reason to be afraid of being gay, very supportive family, safe area ect, but I don’t want to be, does that mean this is ocd, I don’t know what’s going on every time I say I’m straight I feel like I’m lying, but that might just be because I think about it so much. The idea of being with a woman doesn’t feel like something I would want, but is that just because I don’t want to want it? People online say things with so much sureness, if you feel like this it means this. Ect.
