i feel like my mind turns everything into something sexual. Even if I find a person attractive, I still don't want to have those thoughts because I feel out of control. Does anyone else experience this? I feel like a weird, disgusting human being.
You have what I also have hypersexual mind along with that subtype of OCD, thoughts are just thoughts. They hold no value or importance or meaning. They suck and are horrific to deal with BUT they do not define you as a person as long as you don't act on them or respond/react.
I'm new here and reading your post gives me some comfort. I'm at a place where I have sexual intrusive thoughts, and maybe I have a hypersexual mind as well, but I keep telling myself, what if they aren't intrusive and what if I just have a very sexual mind. I was told to let the intrusive thought playout, but then I feel like it turns into a fantasy which leaves me feeling distressed and bad that I let it play out. I'm married, and it makes me feel like I'm not a loyal partner. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

@NAyeem What’s helping me is just letting them exist. Treat them like any other intrusive thought. It’s not always easy to manage, but you’ll get used to it over time.
Hi. I know exactly how you feel. I have suffered with OCD since 2000 but my OCD-driven unwanted intrusive thoughts of an obscene nature were triggered about 10 months ago in hospital after a nurse gave me cheese and biscuits after handling other elderly patients' used mugs. At first l just felt contaminated by other patients' 'germs' but not long after l started getting unwanted intrusive obscene thoughts about the patients which l found extremely distressing. What became even more disturbing was that the disgusting thoughts broadened to include loved ones and were triggered by normal thoughts, activities or watching TV. The unwanted thoughts made me feel like a freak, alienating me from the rest of humanity and l have felt that way ever since as the thoughts have persisted and become all-pervasive making me feel constantly guilty, ashamed, and anxiety-ridden.

I face that too. You all are not alone. I do know this OCD is bothersome. There are numerous patterns of OCD that I observed in people and myself. It gets worse with ROCD and Sexual OCD. Mine is I can't tolerate sexual images, when they come on feed, my mind signals me or urges me to checkout the image. I am in very good relationship and I love that person I want to marry her but this OCD get worse and worse day by day. It triggers false feeling, false attraction. And I know I am disgusted by it as all of you are with your symptoms. The truth is why do we get so bothered by intrusive thoughts, impulsive behaviour, false attractions, or false feelings? If we had to think about them intentionally, we wouldn't even dare to question our thoughts, what we think, our actions, or our loyalty towards our loved ones.
I am a christian guy who grew up in a christian community and family. For as long as i remember, ive had horrible thoughts about all kinds of things that i dont know where to begin. Due to my extreme thoughts, i feel as if i am unworthy of practicing my religioin, such as praying, reading, meditating, etc. I feel ashamed when i go to church, as if i dont belong there because i feel like i am secretely evil, and that God knows i am evil and i am committing blasphemy by going there, and refusing to "repent", from my thoughts. But then again, my thoughts are just thoughts, sure. So whats the problem? - The problem is that in my faith, i have been taught that we must control our thoughts, so they do not get power over us to make us commit sin. Such as "If you think lustfully about a woman, you have already committed adultery with her in your heart". This verse has killed my self esteem, due to the constant unwanted sexual and disturbing thoughts. It makes me feel like a monster, who secretely just wants to abuse and be horrible to people, even though i know very well i do not want this. Sometimes i think horrible things about the people i love very much, such as my girlfriend. It feels so wrong and evil, even though i know it isnt my true will.
I can't look at 18+ videos, comics, etc. I am straight, but SO-OCD tries to make me think I am not And the thoughts turns to feelings, and makes me scared, uncomfortable, sad, because I know this is not me. And when I try to imagine myself being with the woman on adult videos, and comics, my OCD gives gronal response not at the girl, and it fills me with fear, and anxiety, I always loved, and was attracted to women but I can't and it caused me to be depressed, and I keep ruminating I keep trying to focus on her, but it's so bad that I avoid those all the time now. I am wondering has anyone gone through something like this, or currently is, and wondering how you have done to combat this!
Hi everyone I could really use some help on this topic. It’s hard to admit and talk about but after being on here I see that I’m not the only one! Still I would love some support and advice with how to deal with those unwanted sexual thoughts. For me it’s so uncomfortable and honestly gross when sexual thoughts get out of hand with normal people and also do extremely out of hand that even loved ones get involved. Like when I watch tv and all of a sudden I have these gross thoughts that I know if I accept they will go away but how can you accept something so gross? Would love some help!
