Feeling like I'm fighting against God despite wanting to serve Him. Can anyone relate?

I feel like i am fighting against God all the time and that He is against me. It’s painful because i love Jesus and want to serve Him. Can anyone relate? I don’t want to fight against God, i want His will to be done. I want to walk in the freedom that God has given us in Christ. I know there is nothing wrong with skateboarding or taking care of my body. These are the themes i tend to struggle with. I guess this is just scrupulosity but i still feel like i am rebelling against God and He doesn’t want me to enjoy these things. Life is more than this. It’s about serving God and others. Just struggling and want to overcome. To have a good relationship with God instead of feeling like this all the time.

I'm so very sorry brother that you deal with this, I want to encourage you let you know that God loves you so very much and he knows that you are struggling with this and he knows your heart and intentions and from what you have said he knows you love him. [31] What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? @protoevangelium @protoevangelium of course bro, and I'm so sorry your whole view of God has been distorted, too, mine has been too at times But the best thing we can do is trust in his word and what it says about us. For the future if your struggling with thoughts this verse might help in Romans 8:38-39 ESV [38] For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, [39] nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. https://bible.com/bible/59/rom.8.38-39.ESV

God loves you even while you’re in the valley. I promise you, He’s holding on to you & will see you through it. Your fear will not last forever & you are not alone. “Through I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me…” He is with you even in your darkest moments, your doubts, and your fears. He will never forsake you & will help you get through this. He loves you no matter what. Through something very similar, He’s teaching me how vast His steadfast love actually is. He can use anything for good and can do “exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20) to restore you, and I’m sure that He will. Don’t lose hope & keep praying. I’ll pray for you too!

I currently feel this way. However it has to do with relationships. I feel like I’m disobeying God for being in a relationship. I used to also think that playing basketball wasn’t something I was supposed to do. However, one of my close friends mentioned that God created all of these things for us to enjoy and we can utilize these activities to honor and glorify Him. I hope this helps!

Anyone here a Christian and dealing with ROCD? I’m in a really great relationship with my boyfriend who is a Christian like myself. We both have our own solid relationship with God. However, every time I pray specifically about my relationship (and have for 4 years) I feel like God gives me affirmations or feelings soon after that conclude with my boyfriend just not being the person God has for me and I know God loves me and wants the best for me no matter what. Every time I pray about this, the ROCD comes in, like, “God has more for you”, “God has someone better for you”, “Am I disobeying and disappointing God if I stay in this relationship?” “Am I missing out on someone more fulfilling that God may have for me?” You get the point. After that part of the process, I beat myself up in guilt both for my boyfriend and thinking that I’m not listening to what God wants for me and I’m just holding onto something that’s good but I could have better. Then I just stop praying about that question and feel like I avoid God. And lastly, inevitably, I feel numb around my boyfriend because I’m exhausted from the whole process and I live in a feeling of settlement even though I do love him. My boyfriend believes that God has put me in his life and that God has grown him so much in part for me and because of our relationship. He is amazing, and I agree slightly, but that just leads me to more questions. Why don’t I feel that was too or why don’t I feel love for him the way I should If God out us together? Sorry if this triggers anyone. I have just been dealing with this for 4 years and have never actually typed it out this way. Any comments, advice or anything is welcome

Does anyone else get intrusive thoughts while praying or thinking of God? It has been stressing me out so bad. I feel like I’m a bad Christian or somethings wrong with me cause sometimes I get flooded with intrusive thoughts when I try to focus my time on God.

How you accept that you are sinful?

If i try to accept i feel so much guilt and sad and even depressed like im a bad person and i have to fix this, but i realize to that then i become perfectionist, and its really exhausting to always be perfect for God, and you become obsessive with that, its not healthy. But i cant accept im like this and this is okay cause God still loves me... i still feel bad about being sinful... so then i say to myself that maybe im not sinful cause i really avoid many bad things, so i might be good but then i get guilt again cause "who i am to say that im not sinful, im a human too, i cant say that"... This might come from me not knowing what is really a sin, there are alot of things people call sins, but i want to understand why is it a sin. This really makes me not enjoy my life cause i call sin many things i enjoy doing and now i feel guilty about doing them...
