CLEANING. DIFFICULTY

So you get it?! It is so time consuming and depending on my mood I might push myself mire than other tines to get things done. However, I want consistency. I want a nice clean house. I hate to think of my kids kicking back and wondering why are house was not cleaner or nicer! Does wearing gloves make you feel you could clean easier or more???

@Anonymous Oh yes! Cleaning takes so much time and it’s so mentally draining too! I’m trying to get a schedule too for cleaning which is easier said than done when it can cause so much distress. I wish my house was cleaner too, but it takes a lot out of me mentally to do it. The gloves help me so much! It helps control cross contamination and it also helps that I’m not directly touching whatever might contaminate me.

@Anonymous Also I use disposable gloves so I can throw them away immediately after!

@sadsparklegirl Thanks, I considered those. I feel.bad though cuz they are bad for the sea animals. When I used them at work during COVID I used to turn both g and gloves into a ball like so not sea animals get caught in the finger parts. I love animals ...all animals do I like to taje precautions for them so they are not hurt/killed because of plastic/latex gloves.

@sadsparklegirl I like the thought of a schedule though I am picturing myself breaking the schedule real quick! However, anything close to a schedule even if I don't keep it all the time would be a step up From.what I have goingbon now! The mental part can be tiring, too. I get that. What makes things bad for me and my ocd is that when I clean and the garbage can us full and NEEFS to GP put I wait for one of my older sons or husband you take it out. Sadly, my husband put something I am worried ago it on our outside garbage can so I am worried to take the trash out. Sometimes I get so motivated but I don't have the hugest garbage can and it is half full or almost all full and nobody is home. I actually gave to rethink what cleaning I will do because of this On top of it all I have issues with my legs ever since I had COVID. I know that is not a usual side effects you here about but tryst ne...I have leg issues and the strength to take a gravy bag outta kitchen garbage cannabd walk down the stairs yo garbage can I am worried about back up our back stairs......it is something I have not co wuered yet and done. I wish I did! I realllllly wantba great looming house.

@Anonymous I’m sorry I’m just replying I’m a student and have had a busy couple of weeks. Something I’ve done is set alarms on certain days of the week to try to do certain chores on those days and break ok some of the cleaning am I’m not having to do it all at once. No schedule is perfect and I definitely break it from time to time, but I just try to get back on track if I miss some here or there. I’m sorry you have trouble with your legs 🥲 they do have the rubber gloves for the kitchen that you could use and then rewash really good when you’re done using them? That way you could reuse them! I love animal too so I completely understand, I have considered getting the reusable gloves too! I totally get it! It’s still hard for me to be consistent, but I just try my best to keep going if I get off track because I’m only human and I’m not perfect. I understand the feeling of wanting a clean house for your family, but I know they appreciate all you do for them even if the house isn’t clean all the them. Wearing gloves definitely helps me clean easier and more often because it turns off my contamination fear while I’m wearing them and it’s great knowing I can take them and it’s like I never physically touched whatever item it is I didn’t want to directly touch!

@sadsparklegirl Thanks for responding to me!!! Yeah, I love animald6. I do some sharing on the internet fir shelter animals AND other animals, too. You should try sharing their pictures from kill shelters to spread the word to people who might foster, ADIPT, rescue, pledge, share, AND pray FOR THEM........as well as the tiger animals out there who need help. The things about reusable gloves is that I MISTLY would want them fir chores that involve me touching stuff I do nit want to touch. I don't mind they dishes so much. At is OTHERR furniture in our house that just holds a memory or as tied in my mind to one of my family members getting/being sick and then passing away. I feel Luke I am cheating a little boy using gloves but I also feel.likey when I take the gloves off I will ve worried about where I put them. The garbage is my first guess but egat a waste. Ya know? But also I just feel.like I would be nervous taking the gloves off and then going in the garbage and knowing me I will be worried about the garbage. SIGH!!! Not sure that makes sense but I have to start being more productive in my own home!

I understand how you feel about a part of the house that holds a memory of someone being sick there.. that can be so hard 😔 I was thinking that if you did use reusable gloves, you could clean them with really hot water and soap or even a solution that’s part bleach and then you could place them inside of a box with a lid until you use them next time?

@sadsparklegirl Thanks for understanding! I don't know. It is like I hate to buy disposable gloves because of how they could harm fish etc.but at the same time I don't know if I want to use reusable gloves....even if I clean then the way you suggested which is obviously thorough. My fears sometimes don't bother me as much as other times but really it is a combination of reasons why I might be bothered more done day and nit s I much they other. Obviously, the first factor is why an I worried about whatever it is and some things.....even though they ate all related to losing people I love....some things just make ne mire upset than others. So, using either kind of gloves would probably make ne nervous. Other factors come I too play, too, that can make me more nervous. I actually looked at gloves yesterday and they only had a store brand. and I am nit sure if those are also the store brand for the "sister" store I have a bad memory of. So, I decided I eoukd not buy then. I know you everyone else they worries ate not real. I know they are just thoughts that really have no power. Sometimes, I just gave worries that overlap one another. For example, SHOULD I buy gloves to COMPLEYE all my cleaning? However, zi am actually worried about buying the gloves at the store I was in. I tried to think that since I did not want yo buy something I might nit used I wouldn't but them.and therefore not waste the money. Still, am I gonna be able to do all the cleaning without them? I am not sure but I want it done. It is like a vicious circle. I will keep your suggestion in mind though. At least maybe I would get the cleaning completed!
