my bf basically told me he dosent feel like i love/ like him as much as he does (i will not get in detail he didnt use the word love or like) amd i know he thinks that bc of how i bahave (many times my thoughts take over me) amd i feel sad and with no emotiona at the same time, i feel bad does this mean i dont love him, im so lost and drained
and he told me im always mad at him and i know that is happening bc of my rocd, why am i loke ynis why, i feel so bad so bad
Does he also have ocd ? If not then he’s allowed reassurance unlike us lol. Be sure from time to time to remind him you love him. Take time to show him. Be honest and open about your condition. I probably would not share specifics about intrusive thoughts and what not. Just say I’m having a rough ocd day and leave it at that. I have found that sharing the actual thoughts can hurt your partners feelings, and knowing them does not really help them help you either. Really all they need to do to help you as not offer reassurance and not give into any safety behaviors. I would also suggest working with a OCD therapist that specializes in ERP therapy. Changed my life.
@I’m Batman he does not have ocd, he knows abt my thoughts he is very kind and understanding.. but it got to a point where i think he is over this, because i keep confesing things to him and he tries to use logic on me to get better and it just dosent work, so i try to get better on my own bc i cant go to a therapist. it is not the first timehe told me this things and i always say i will change and never do, my thoughts are eating me alive amd yjey feel so real, i dont know wjay is happening and i get why he feels and talks like that, bc if someone was behaving the way i do idk if would have kept up, he loves me so much thats why he still is with me and i feel like a monster. i literally use rocd compassion gbt as a therapist
@I’m Batman and my bf told me that he dosent feel like im atracted to him, i never wamt to do stuff ans he is the only one thats is more passionate, i know i behave like this bc of my rocd, im si sad, im allways mad ad him and get angry when he says something slightly sexual. when we make out i have so much anxiety amd he feels that im not giving the same energy. i feel so numb and i feel bad bc i feel numb, what if i dont care about him and donr love him ans i dont care??? why am inlike yhis i feel ao bad. has anyone went over something like this?
@Mariabae Pretty typical for ROCD. We don’t really wanna give each other reassurance cause it makes it worse. All you can do is live with that anxiety and learn you can handle it. I would suggest looking into therapy with a OCD therapist that specializes in ERP therapy.

@Mariabae If you have access you YouTube I would suggest the NOCD YouTube channel. The DR that runs it does a Q and A on Wednesday. He also discusses ERP therapy. Google exposure and response prevention therapy. It’s the gold standard for ocd treatment. Also look up OCD and anxiety channel on YouTube … I think Nathan Peterson runs it . Good advice on there too.

My boyfriend told me that he feels like he’s losing me, that I’ve changed, and that I don’t seem happy to see him anymore. I know that this should hurt me deeply, but when he said it, I didn’t feel anything. And now I’m terrified. Why didn’t I react? Why didn’t I feel instant sadness or guilt? It’s like I was emotionally blocked, like I didn’t care at all—and that thought is destroying me. What if this means I don’t love him? What if I’ve just been lying to myself and I don’t want to accept the truth? I feel so disconnected and numb. My brain keeps telling me: “If you really cared, you would feel something.” But instead, I feel nothing. And the fact that I feel nothing makes me panic even more. I don’t know what’s happening to me. I used to feel so much, and now it’s like I can’t access my emotions at all. I don’t want to lose him. I don’t want to feel like this forever. I just want to feel normal again
i dont say i love you to my bf, only when i say good night out of habit, he pointed it put multiple times. i feel sad bc i cant say it amd i want to say it but i feel bad bc i always think that i dont like him. im so sad. im scared i dont love him and he uses logic in me that sometimes dosent work and then i still think i dont like him and i never did.
I feel so lost. My boyfriend tries so hard to help me, but nothing seems to work. Every time he reassures me, my mind finds another doubt. He asks me, “So you’ve been questioning if you love me for almost 2 years?” and instead of feeling comforted, my mind jumps to “Maybe I just can’t accept that I don’t love him.” I keep telling him every thought that comes to my mind, hoping for relief, but it never lasts. I feel anxious, disconnected, and stuck in this endless cycle. He tells me that if I truly didn’t love him, I wouldn’t care so much about these thoughts. But still, my brain won’t stop questioning everything. I don’t understand why I feel this way. Why does it feel like I’m forcing something? Why do I feel like I can’t just know how I feel? I want to feel okay. I want to be present with him without analyzing every moment. But no matter what I do, my mind keeps telling me “What if you don’t love him?” I feel like I’m stuck between wanting clarity and being terrified of what that clarity might mean. It feels so real, and I hate it. I don’t know what to do.
