This doubt that I’m having from my gay thoughts never go away as soon as I wake up they start I don’t even feel for girls anymore it’s just constant doubt I haven’t felt something for a girl since I was probably 14-15 and I’m 16 now what does this mean I never questioned ever if I www gay cause I dated girls and only girls I got diagnosed with ocd but it really does feel like I’m just denying it
So I don’t know if this helps but when I was in middle school, say 13-14 I was 100% convinced I was gay and I didn’t want to be. I cried. I had thoughts about certain girls. I couldn’t get the image off of my head their names and it was destroying my life. I knew that I wasn’t gay deep down Because of my arousal towards men, however fake arousal does present with OCD so how that in mind messes with you and make you doubt your sexuality. I know it did for me. I am now 28 years old. I have a partner and a son and have not doubted my sexuality since then, but from time to time it still tries to mess with me.

@ichooseme I have had this for a year or so I have a therapist but not helping very much I’m starting meds but I truly think I’m denying it cause of how much doubt I have and intrusive thoughts but it’s gotten really bad
by a girl rather than a boy it is actually more simple to heal.... there is a very specific way in this kind of OCD thought.... let me know if you would like to hear more info. on how to go about the healing process....

@Beachgirl2024 Indeed we have the same problem question before you had this obsession did you feel attraction to guys cause for me I was in love with girls then one day I got triggered and it was gone

@ZapposAlt It will help for 2 weeks and then I’ll go into an episode for 2 weeks but this one just seems to be sticking around

@ZapposAlt - well you not feeling anything doesnt really mean much bec. that could be phycological.... there is only one way to prove it.... lets put it in polite way, if i where to be in a bedroom with a guy nothing would happen, it simply just wouldn't work.... when you are with your lover.... does it work? if yes, than you know its phycological bec. nothing would "happen' if you where truly gay.... now that wont fix the OCD that takes time and professional help, but it at least reveals to us that its phycological (meaning just OCD) and that you aren't truly gay.... and now you can get to work on fixing yourself....

@ZapposAlt - exactly and not to trees or to airplanes but to girls yes.... so that is a proof that you are attracted to girls.... so your clearly not gay and if your brain asks your self "Well maybe am actually gay".... then remind yourself that its based on what you are attracted to which determines what your status is.... bec. if that's not what its based on then maybe your airplane gay too.... and we know that that isnt the case so same here... i hope this helps, if you need any clarification or if you have any other questions please feel free to reach out
So my whole life I’ve been heterosexual. I have got hocd so I worry I’m a lesbian when I have no reason to worry about it because im straight ( not that my ocd likes to think that tho lol! ). But there’s this thought I have, How do I know I’m 100% straight if I haven’t tried sleeping with a girl? Bear in mind I’ve NEVER WANTED TO and DONT want too. Hence why it is an INTRUSIVE thought. But the thought is so uncomfortable- I can’t seem to shift it. But i do see that THIS IS OCD & wanting to know for certain. Thats the definition of OCD. I do know that but it’s tough with the stupid doubts!!! Do you guys just live with the unknown / uncertainty. I’m so happy and love my boyfriend and only want to be with him etc. Let me say again, I DONT want to sleep with a girl nor have I ever fantasized about it. But why does ocd want 100% certainty.. I just wanna not have that weird niggling thought.
I’ve completely lost myself. I can’t focus on my studies, I can’t go to the gym. Dang it I can’t even be around my male friends normally anymore. I got no idea why or how this happened but the only thing I know for sure is that I never questioned my sexuality neither doubted it. I never cared in general. I just liked girls. I keep testing and keep testing and keep testing my arousal but no matter how many times I see but I don’t feel the same way for guys that I do with girls my mind will always try to make me believe that I am gay. It’s like it’s forcing me into an identity I never asked for. But at the end of the day like my psychologist told me. Sexuality doesn’t change. So since I never felt anything for guys in my life it’s ocd. I’ve been up and down for 5 months now and while the last week I was feeling way better. Monday now and I’m back to zero. I just want to go back when everything was normal. I can’t keep living with this.
I need too know that I'm not insane, really. I am 16 and for the past two weeks, this has been completely ruining my health and happiness. I only recently came out as a lesbian like 3 months ago after a lot of confusion about my attraction since I used to think I liked men. At first, I felt so sure that I liked women, but lately, I've been having these unwanted thoughts about the possibility of liking men. I never used to feel this way, but now, every time I look at a man, my brain obsessively fixates on it. It forces me to imagine kissing him, loving him, things I don’t want, and then tries to convince me that I do. It’s painful. The thought of this fills me with fear and anxiety, leading to panic attacks and breakdowns. I don’t want these thoughts. I hate them with every fiber of my being, but I’m terrified that one day I’ll act on them and somehow like it. I used to think I liked men, but back then, I was in a very unhealthy space in a time of escapism and something deeply parasocial. I’ve only ever liked the attention and validation a man could give me, but these experiences are somehow treated as further proof that I’m "bisexual." I’ve never been in a real relationship with anyone, which makes my brain constantly challenge me—telling me, “You don’t even know what love feels like.” It won’t shut up. It keeps obsessively trying to make me prove that I’m a lesbian, testing my reactions and questioning my certainty. Is this normal?
