i’m so scared if i have ovarian cancer because i started having pain and stuff and i can’t sleep i’m so scared what if i have it i drank a lot of water and i used the bathroom a lot but randomly i started having lower back pain, pelvic pain, and inner thigh pain im so scared idk what to do i started to have an anxiety attack
Hi Savannah, sorry that you’re going through this, I can’t imagine how stressful it is. OCD tends to bring up these worries at the most inconvenient times. I don’t want to invalidate your pain, but I know OCD often makes things feel worse than they are. When my health OCD shows up, I try to lean into the distress and acknowledge that it’s just a possibility, but it’s not something I need to react to right away. I’ll delay any compulsions, like Googling or rushing to the doctor, and give myself a little time—sometimes saying I’ll check in a few days later if I still feel the same way. One thing I always remind myself is, if I think I have something right now—like cancer—worrying and stressing out about it won’t change the fact that I already have it, if I do. It helps me avoid spiraling. It’s not always easy, but giving myself space to feel the anxiety without acting on it has helped. Health is important, and if you feel like you need to see a doctor, that’s something you should consider. Just be aware that OCD can make these fears more intense, especially if this has happened before. Take care of yourself!

It’s important to remember that the more we react to those fears—whether by Googling, checking, or asking for reassurance—the stronger the anxiety and the thoughts become. I know it’s not easy, but sitting with that discomfort without acting on it is the way to start regaining control. It’s totally okay to feel scared; that doesn’t mean something is wrong. In fact, with health OCD, the more something feels scary, the more likely it is that OCD is playing tricks on you. You’re not alone in this, and there are ways to manage the fear and uncertainty. It’s all about taking one step at a time and practicing sitting with the discomfort without letting it dictate your actions. It might feel really tough now, but over time, this anxiety will start to feel more manageable. I see you like music—maybe there’s a song you love that could help you relax.

tell me why… idk if this is just me but i’m so scared i have ovarian cancer, kidney stone, kidney failure, UTI, hernia, or something wrong that’s making my lower stomach to my inner thigh and pelvic area. i have an uncomfortable feeling. it was hurting more last night then it is today… everytime i pee it doesn’t hurt but i somewhat still get the uncomfortable feeling down there and feeling in stomach. i’ve been googling and idk what to do because i’m scared of the doctors and i haven’t had a physical like in 2 years and i’m like scared if i go to a physicial i will have something wrong with me like i have cancer or something that i don’t know about. something tells me the pain tho in general is something gastrointestinal related but idk if could mean i have pain down “there”…. i took a tylenol last night it helped a little but then it still kinda occurred and i took a tum and it’s still the same i think it’s still occurring since i’m so hyper focused about it. idk i’m just like ugh my OCD was doing so well i just can’t tell what it is or if something is wrong i’m just scared :( i hate when having certain pains i freak out.
I’m freaking out right now really bad right now. Long story short: nutritionist and therapist want me to start higher levels of care for my disordered eating. My eating habits have been shit and i checked my iron levels like a couple of days ago and it was super low, but i haven’t been having any symptoms up until a few days ago. I have been having a light period in between my regular periods. Just a few minutes ago i started experiencing weird light headedness that comes and goes and now im freaking out so bad. I feel off and the anxiety does not help. Im scared of telling my parents i need help. Im scared that i really screwed myself over. Im scared that i really let myself go and im fucking scared of asking for help…….i just want to be ok.
for women…. a couple of days ago i was having woman private pain when touching it and then now i’m having some stomach pain like i need to use the bathroom… but everytime i move in a position like bending down i get the pain like a sore pain or something “down there” i’m so scared i’ve been googling and i’m so scared if i have cancer or something that could lead to death… idk what to do i’m actually so scared if i have something that i don’t know about i thought i had a UTI a couple of months ago and i didn’t i was fine since i got tested for it…
