Feeling pretty good, except tomorrow I have to go for a cataract surgery pre op check up. Hopefully it won’t be a big deal, but am anxious because of my OCD. Just worried about my Blood Pressure, which is normally a little elevated, but overall I feel fine. I get very anxious obviously because of the OCD. Hopefully all goes well.
You got this Mia, I suffer from a thing called white coat hypertension, which makes my blood pressure sky rocket when it gets taken haha. Essentially, it's just high blood pressure caused by going to the doctors. My recommendation is when they do it, sit down with your feet on the floor and take some nice, deep breaths. Focusing on just you're breathing. Inhale for 5 seconds, hold your breath for 5 seconds, and then exhale for 5 seconds, this will diminish your anxiety and make you feel tons better. Good morning to all. I have OCD and have had it since high school. However, I was not formed diagnosed until 2003, when I was 45 . I have a psychiatrist and Licensed therapist, and have been on Zoloft/sertraline ever since. Currently I have to have cataract surgery in a few weeks and I am very anxious about the whole thing. Of course this has been a trigger for my OCD and dealing with it the best I can. Any thoughts ?
Currently having an anxious night because my hormones are doing whatever they want before my cycle starts. It's so frustrating. I feel very, very on edge and like I'm constantly anxious about something bad happening. Also been nauseous and having sleep issues. So irritating. How does everyone else deal with the spike in anxiety and OCD before periods? I'm seeing an endocrinologist on Monday to try and help but I feel so stressed out.
Just been discharged from hospital outpatients after operation and 3 month recovery. There was an ultrasound on eyes and possibility of radiotherapy treatment for a spot there, but turned out it was benign. OCD was quiet during this time. However, now OCD has come back big time, and I'm wishing I hadn't been so fortunate with diagnosis. Tired of going through this like groundhog day, and worried that there will come a time where I won't cope. Can't tell anymore if this is OCD or I'm just losing my mind. All plans and dreams gone now.
