Does anyone else have a fear of riding in a car and just opening the door and jumping out even though you don’t want to. It’s like an urge but I’m no where near suicidal I just have a fear of losing control or going crazy.
I have the random compulsion to tumble down the stairs.

I think the intrusive thoughts come from the brain’s curiosity to experience things that we aren’t expecting or planning to experience but know people do. I believe it becomes a problem when our flight or fight response kicks in to those thoughts and we start paying attention to them and doing compulsions

@Stacey353 Sry it didnt notify me but yes I do I seem to be fine on smaller roads but on like mini highways or interstate I have to sit in the back with the child lock on

@Anonymous I don’t know what to do I try riding in the backseat with the child locks on too but I still am so anxious I always tell whoever is driving to turn around after half a mile. I am just so upset about it bc I am missing everything.
