hi does anyone ever get a random grounal response then feel aroused but you don’t want to be like before i had the thought i was feeling a little aroused then i had a random thought and it had the ground response and i felt aroused i don’t understand.

yeah I dealt with this for quite a while the arousing thought or urge when dwelt upon will excite the groinal response but my conscience , was refusing to indulge . what you are feeling is the strength building in you to turn away from such thoughts and desires urges keep it up let that refusal take charge . you're actually standing up against the intrusive thoughts , the physical reaction is something that occurs because of the physiological responses associated with the intrusive thought , but if you continue to refuse to entertain those notions if you continue to refuse those intrusive thoughts any kind of attention the physiological response will also begin to curb and you'll have more strength and confidence to continue on your path to recovery
@rbaker247 well this is what happened i was feeling aroused by a previous thought and then had the intrusive thought and had a response/ felt arousal again. then after i was thinking about something that made me feel aroused also so i’m stressing because was the intrusive thought response real arousal or was it because i was already aroused
@123kate123 it's all relative , intrusive thoughts , aberrant thoughts that occur earlier in the day and you're able to refuse those thoughts , doesn't mean that go away, they linger subliminally , subconsciously , and if the intrusive thoughts have been successful in the past with causing a physiological response , and your body has learned to cooperate and respond to those intrusive thoughts , so intrusive thought could occur earlier in the day and your body might not respond physically because you were able to refute it , then later on when the intrusive thoughts arise again , your body responds . part of it is the earlier intrusive thoughts primed you so to speak , so when they occur again later in the day they are able to achieve the physiological response you just got to keep refusing them and if you have a physiological response you have to let it pass , and remembering that you're in control and that the intrusive thoughts can only stir or stimulate your physiological response . you might not be able to control the intrusive thought and the reaction physiologically , you are in control , you may not feel able to control anything , keep it up and you'll get stronger and stronger
@rbaker247 I dealt with this shit for too many years , and I do mean too many years I didn't seek help because I would not seek help , whether it was pride or prejudice or just plain dumbass ignorance , I allowed myself to suffer, my own self loathing , low self-esteem combined with intrusive thoughts ? I was putting myself through some stuff I didn't know until years later that I had the ability to stop this nonsense , true it took some work and it took a little time but I was able to overcome it and so will you

@123kate123 oh absolutely it does , but it does it on a subliminal level .you may not get the physiological response immediately , but subconsciously those intrusive thoughts continue to play in the back of your mind and they will elicit that physiological response , you may be just driving down the road not even thinking about it at all , listening to music but subliminally those thoughts are still in motion , and you'll feel a physiological arousal or response and be like , what the hell ? it's those thoughts still rolling about in your subconscious mind , that's why it's important to make a stand immediately upon recognizing the intrusive thought , if you don't , or you kind of half-ass your response to those intrusive thoughts then they'll linger in your subconscious , and understand that previous thoughts from times before can also continue to linger in the subconscious occasionally reoccurring , it takes time and it takes repetition , but eventually he will be able to refuse the interest of thoughts and they won't have any place to hide because your conscious and your subconscious will get together , which is ultimately the goal for all of humanity is to have your subconscious and your conscious mind working together as one that way there's no guilt there's no fear there's no anxiety

@rbaker247 i was feeling aroused about something else and then had a random pocd thought and felt a tingle and then i still felt arousal. i’m asking if the pocd thought contributed to my arousal. i don’t want it to
@123kate123 yes , essentially . for instance , as an example , I am preparing for work I go out to my truck whatever I see something that triggers an intrusive thought , I don't pay much attention to it I don't dwell on it I just let it pass ... a little later I break for lunch and another activating event occurs which triggers intrusive thoughts but I don't really pay no mind to it just go on about my business later that evening , I would find myself aroused and couldn't understand why or wear this physiological response was coming from understand that for a good number of years , I wasn't aware of the condition and early on in my life I gave in to the intrusive thoughts , and that established a connection between the intrusive thoughts and the physiological arousal reaction that connection having been established means , the intrusive thought , would still activate the arousal response , even though I didn't immediately give in , the thought had stirred or activated the physiological response , and they'll preoccupation with work or whatever I was involved in would displace that physical reaction it would manifest itself later on , and it took me a number of years to recognize and realize the connection between the intrusive thought and the physiological response . so yes intrusive thoughtsc can trigger the physiological , but because of distractions or focus on other activities will delay the physiological , but the body will respond to the activating event (intrusive thoughts) at a quieter time during the day when there's no distraction , the subconscious mind can retain an inordinate amount of information , particularly useless information . and knowing now that the intrusive thought can trigger a physiological response , it's not hard to understand that subliminal recall can trigger the physiological without having the actual conscious thought in the moment

eventually your body will respond , which in turn , will trigger the intrusive thought process , it's a cycle , you have to break the cycle , or come to some kind of agreement with your conscience , for instance and only for example , let's say I am stimulated and aroused by the female aesthetic doesn't matter how old they are , again for the example ,, I see a couple of 11-year-olds shaking their ass on tik Tok and again this is only for the example , it triggers a groinal response , The dilemma is now moral , if I masturbate to this image am I a bad person ? accepting severe cases most people can control themselves , and if something as described above creates a colonial response and you act upon it the shame guilt anger remorse that you feel towards yourself is the payoff . ultimately your persecuting and shaming yourself , and only you can relieve this . abstinence or forgive yourself and keep trying to do better
there has to be a way to edit these texts , except in severe cases , and colonial means groinal apparently my phone cannot discern between certain words
Does anyone else when they have the thoughts, they feel against it, but they still get arousal or tenglings sensations in the groinal area? Because this is what I experienced today and I feel like crap. This is going to be very triggering for a lot of you, but there are a lot of times that I notice things from kids. For example, there is a thirteen year old kid who looks very developed for her age, and I take notice of (and this already sounds creepy to me) her chest. Today with my thoughts, I imagined as if I were touching it, and although I usually "no no or "I don't want to do that", she is a kid, etc., I still get responses in my groinal area, and It felt very real. Even now, I feel as though I am faking it, even though I groan 😮💨 from it, and feel as though I am a fraud. Does anyone relate?
A compulsion i do is if i get a groinal or anticipate it i take a step. Adjust my legs and feet to avoid the groinals. I was carrying my daughter and worry about groinals which sucks. I had groinals when I picked her up but discarded it didnt give it attention. Then when i put her down i had intrusive thoughts about groinals worrying if i get it. I took a step to my right and just sat with the groinals and the thoughts. I do t remember if i took a second step or not but ocd hyper-focused in the groinal sensations and i feel guilty its telling me i took tbe step to get groinals and i sat with it to arouse myself but i think i took the step as a compulsion and my ocd hyperfocused on the ocd and was aware of it and just let it be but ocd is saying i acted on the thoughts and aroused myself i know thats not true.
Has it ever happened to you, that you read here or somewhere an experience related to pocd, or similar, and that you felt like groin answers?! Like that was exciting for a second? It really upset me...
